it shd be ur carburetor leaking out the fuel.

it came out from the tube there, or if no tube there, out from a small "pipe"?

if it is, it is ur carb pin is not in correct position.

this is wat u need to do w/o going to bikeshop.

1) Switch to off (fuel).

2) On ur engine let it run for a while (riding it ard also can).

3) b4 it runs outta fuel and engine dies, turn fuel on

4) on fuel to 3/4 position (not full) and monitor if still leaking.

5) if still leaking, off fuel and ride ard maybe ur neighborhood again until it's no longer leaking.

6) repeat above steps as neccessary.

This can be pin inside spoilt, or temporary outta position. Go to planet to check.

it not d carb dat leak. d leaking part is at d left hand side below d fuel tank. i dont really know wat d part call but it house d piston n d chain tensioner

(engine block?)

alrite then, perhaps u can give a more detailed description so we can try to help or advise u.

1) wat bike are u riding?

2) wat model is it? (if phantom, ta150 or ta200)

3) take a pic and post again.

really, u didnt even tell us wat bike. we can only assume that much, and we are not mechanics either, so any further details will help us understand better.

lastly, if no one can help and resolve ur problem u having now, try to understand why also as i explained above.

ur best option is to go to bikeshop and get it resolved.

dats wat i m worried about bcoz i juz replaced my piston at planet i thought they should replaced d gasket 2gether.

If you just did overhaul, yes, head gasket confirm must be replaced. The smell might be due to they used petrol to clean your block, so got petrol smell... When did you collect your bike?

fuel do evaporate fast...but the smell lingers for quite a while.

may be your tank is leaking..or the petcock is screwed..check it out..

the last time went for some repairs..took the bike from the shop and had to immediate go back..as the petrol is leaking like a tap...turns out the hose not connected properly to the carb..

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

Yep, the smell does linger, and especially pronounced when the engine heats up.

Mine had that smell too just after overhaul, but visually inspected the block + carb and trace fuel line but cannot find any leak. So hopefully my guess is correct. Now no more smell liao (coming to 1 mth).

This thread speaks for itself.

It compromises for those who own the early TA200 to Custom 4 to the latest Fire Editions.

For those with any problems regarding TA200, feel free to post here.

Wah piang eh. just feel like rambling here.

Prev to this, just rear box and stock mostly highways got 34-35km/L.

Now added crashbar, saddles, Ultra wide handlebars and always pillion i got 29-30km/L.

Hearing some getting 38 and above really makes me jealous. hehe.

hi guys, i am riding a TA 200.. since it does not have a meter i often run out petrol, cus i never take note..

but then today, when i was riding home.. the bike felt no power ( like how it will feel when the bike run out of petrol )

so i switch to reserve as usual then after going into 3rd / 4th gear the bike kept having the power being cut off and then on again.. ( alot of jerky motion )

anyone has any idea wat is going on?
