I just tried unsuccessfully to unscrew the oil drain plug to change my engine oil. How much should I expect to pay a motordiam to change the oil for me? Just labour, not the oil as I already bought a bottle of motul.

I didn't dare force it any further because the nut head was getting rounded.

operate a vehicle in a way that you benefit other road users pls - and meanwhile, stop whining! be responsible and be safe.

i do not think so expensive, probably a few dollars only at most. while changing maybe you can consider changing the nut so next time you can change yourself?

The compression range I am trying to find out is like for eg 140- 150psi, maybe there is a standard spec?

Squee: Not too sure cos if I go shopping I'll use their eo instead so that I got one on standby. Anyway if a shop want to carrot me 10bux just for work change I prob wont go back.

Ber: read somewhere ta200 based on xr200 engine so u can do a search from there, dunno true or not; u bought a compression gauge?

In any case some1 in pk mention b4 that if u cover sparkplug hole durimng cranking and if u can keep yr finger there due to the pressure, compression probably's not gd

I just got my nut changed at Keng Seng Bike Shop (AMK Industrial Park 2) for $10. My oil looked pretty black.

Immediately after changing I felt vibrations are a lot lesser. Engine was less loud as well.

Hi everyone! I'm a new biker and just bought a ta200 2005 make. Super clueless what to look out for so would appreciate some guidance.

Firstly I would like to ask about my fuel capacity. I realized that when my fuel indicator light up and I go pump petrol, I usually get 8.5L till I see the petrol at the hole nearing the brim. Now is that right?

Secondly, I got around 29km/L for fuel efficiency but so far I have only pumped petrol thrice so will continue to monitor.

Thirdly, I find that my acceleration is quite fast but when I reached highest gear, I can only push the bike till slightly more than 90km on the speedometer before the engine starts the vibrate and I can't bear to hear it groan so I never gone beyond that. I prefer this arrangement but just want to check if there is anything wrong here as I always see other phantom and many Kum Kia riding faster than me.

Fourthly, the ignition starter on my bike takes a long time to start the engine (like 3-4s of depressing that button) and if I do not ride for a day, then I have to push start the bike. Is there something wrong with the battery? If I do need to change it how much will it cost?

Lastly, I wish to fix crash bar and side boxes to my bike. Any recommendations on which crash bar and side box to get and where I can get them done?

I thank you for your kind patience in reading my 'essay'! I really appreciate any help I can get!

Phantom is a 2b bike.. And a cruiser.. Not meant for high speed... Hard to crank, might be battery or ignition coil... Crash bar and boxes LAB...

I AM BACK!!!!!

Crashbar I would recommend otherwise. Ah Boy is cheap but may not be good. Install a voltmeter to troubleshoot. Cheap ones go by sgd45.

Welcome to the club. You will find the Phantom an easily customizable bike in due time.

In due time. Having problem deciding on a helmet. Was leaning towards a modular helmet but im on a budget. What are your takes on helmet to go with phantom?

I believe in comfort and space saving helmet. Hence I lean towards half caps and non psb helmets. Some prefer safety, so its really up to individual preference.
