hi, anyone has any idea where and how much it costs to make a new ignition key? and also how long it'll take? i just lost my ignition key.

ive check with ahchong, he say 60bucks with tow and will take a day. so im looking for alternatives. faster and/or cheaper.

and sorry to mods for starting a new thread.

Try LIM AH BOY. If not, go for chong ah chong.

Hi Guys,

While on expressway , @ approx 70km/h , can hear metal clicking sound. brought to workshop. They said it is the metal chain need lubrication. just bought my 7 yr old TA200 about 1.5 mth back . any chance if it is engine problem? any one here have such problem before . Pls advise.

Listen to them first, degrease and lubricate your chain. If not, prepare $400.

Haha I'm gonna head to Planet the first thing after I get my bike tmr! Excited :D

Do ask ah chong to test ride your bike :thumb: I suggest to change your tyres at least to avoid skids as a new rider.

Forgot to advise on getting an escort to go along with you, haha... it's sure is harrowing with you trying to get used to controlling a new bike, fighting the traffic, finding your way, panicking to find a petrol kiosk...

Do come out for a ride next time, if you do see Beyond The Screen thread, singapore rides.. slow speed, enjoy the wind.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Haha the bike shop only topped up enough for the reserve. About 1L plus? I had to go to the petrol kiosk right away but I lost my way!

it's good that you put a mini street directory in your bike just in case =)

hi guys, i hav a problem here. jus now when i wanna leave causeway pt basement carpark, i couldnt start my ta200. i do the normal electric start but it jus come wif the tick tick tick sounds. i had met with this problem a few times in the past year so i had to remedy with the manual start style. tried super hard cuz the terrain is flat and no one to assist me. but luckily one hayabusa rider came to my rescue and help me push the bike. after trying about 100m, the bike finally started. kudos. however, the bike engine felt like it gona die soon and i had to keep turning the throttle. the hayabusa friend adjusted the carburetor and told me it was for temporary. he told me that either my carburetor or battery needs servicing. after millions of thanks, i hit the road back home, but i realised the rev of the engine is super fast. unlike before. so these are my questions and hope any kind soul can help me.

1. anyone have any idea which part of my ta200 is faulty due to the description above?

2. i know adjusting the carburetor is very unrecommended, but i tink the hayabusa friend had to do it if not the engine will die out again. so i wanna ask is it safe to continue riding? or should i not go anywhere and consult the mechanic IMMEDIATELY? cuz i hav sth impt tmr... thanks!!!!

spark plugs, air filter, coolant, engine oil & oil filter, OWS flush, front forks, front wheel bearing, brake pads, brake fluid, alarm, carb washed, steering cone, rear brake light, fuel filter, jets, front tyre, dyna carb tuning, rear tyre, rear tyre inner tubing, rear wheel bearing, fuel tubing, alternator, rectifier, battery, valve clearance/top overhaul, chain & sprocket.

by now, your batt shd be charged already. jus tune down the carb setting.

could be someone messed with your settings. alot of crazy bo liao ppl around.

go to workshop to have it checked out. it's not a big problem and ur bike wun explode or anything major, the most is wun start again which you can always push start.

else, will be batt is likely near end of life. any workshop can check 4 you regarding that. or if you hav multimeter u can check urself also.

it could also be your battery is not charging up, or some wiring problem or something else etc...

there are certain steps to do to id wad the exact prob, but since u are not in electrical stuffs, better go shop ask them check ya.
