I have confidence in pillioning someone on my bike. Basically, before you pillion someone who doesnt know how to sit behind you, is to give verbal instruction to him.

1) Sit as close to the rider as possible.

2) Do not attempt to go against the rider's "tilt" when turning

3) Hold on for dear life to your rider

4) Don't move around and figit too much.

5) Remain calm.

The most difficult pillon was my dad. When negotiating a turn, he actually turned to the other side, nearly making me enter the other side of the traffic. He can scold me sommore tell me not to exaggerate my turning. I told him it is HE who made me perform such a turn. Then the next turn he was scared and he gripped me so hard with his thighs. Haha. So funny when i told my mum. My dad never sat on a motorbike before. :)

I also pillioned a 95+kg guy before. Luckily he is a rider himself and knows how to react. But my YBR really really cannot take it. 80kg + 95kg + Accessories, totally overload my 124cc bike. It was just so sad we looked like a giraffe and an elephant riding a bicycle. :)

sengkang fernvale 406 MSCP lv5 onward very ulu one, people always monkey there. We can gather there. The bestest part is... I stay there. There's the quiet roads at anchorvales or even up to punggol, then all can chill at the Sengkang Recreation Centre. If before 9pm, still can play water slides lor...

shd get a centralise place instead... :D

not forgetting MSCP road surface abit slippery.

frankly speaking, i find pillioning on a small bike very very unpleasant. when i pillion people on my small bike, the usable power is just not there... ugh... so my small bike will forever be a solo bike

it is ridiculously easy to pillion people on a super 4. until you have to stop that is, then must rely a bit on your body strength hehe. if possible i will use my bigger bike to pillion, gives me more sense of security that there is usable power when i need it

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

lolx.. pillion.. guess it's all about patterns of riding.. with pillion.. slightly slower.. of cuz.. tell your pillion these..

Your life is in my hands.. trust me.. :)

Dun lean too much to the back.. else if pick up too fast.. you will fall back.. try not to lean on the box.. else, if the box fall off.. you go with it..

haha...

Small bikes.. indeed.. power is not there.. of cuz.. if 2 person.. both weight 45KG nia.. ok lah..

For me.. big size.. with another guy.. omg.. power feel like total loss..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Pillion is fun to me because it a constant fight to survive especially with noob.

For noobs i say this to them after the counter my turn: if u counter the turn, we will crash and die. then suddenly they become good pillions!!

Riding with pro pillion even for fun, can corner till footrest sharp sharp.

My weight 55kg. Pillion mostly above 70kg

The day i quit riding,

Is when those whom I love,

Cry every time I get on my motorcycle.

oh ya, when you are pillioning, please remember to check if your pillion has secured her helmet properly and dont assume that she will just because she's an experienced pillion.

i was pillioning a friend on my bike, and while i was accelerating suddenly her helmet flew off her head, leaving her holding the visor. turns out that she thought it wasnt necessary to fasten it as she didnt expect the wind to be so strong (turns out she'd only been on a bike twice before).

it sounds funny now (and we couldnt stop laughing about it for the whole morning) but could have been really dangerous.

geez...that would have been scary, no? having your helmet blown off?

sigh... bike was an lc tong 350 (yamaha rd350lc). looks like a big rxk, that's why my friend thought it would be a relax ride so never buckle helmet... unfortunately it wasnt a relax ride and it wasnt a big rxk...

she tells me she was nearly blown off as well... then i was wondering why she was clutching me so tightly, i thought she was scared so i slowed down... didnt realise about the helmet part

the helmet was some cheap ah boy helmet belonging to her brother... so guess maybe it was too big... i dunno

when i realised what had happened... i was totally stun... never knew such a thing is possible. i mean if crash and helmet dislodged maybe la... but this is really the first time i heard of helmet fly right off while riding

moral of the story is: pls check your pillion's helmet before you ride off :cheeky:

ic... its better to ensure that the pillion strap the helmet properly. its for their own safety. n of cos, a bigger helmet would come off easier when there is a sudden force. think ur pillion didn't expect rd350 to b that powerful

but this is definitely a good lesson to learn from.

Wow so long havent come to this thread already. Oh sorry to hear abt that deary. But dun worry cos i also did fall at U-turn also before and someone ran over to help me up and i was with pillion too. Hahaha no pain no gain ya. :) dun give up deary. And also remember to not do a U-turn on a slope. I fall many times while doing that hahahaha.

So long as you are still riding i think alot of us here will be happy for you. remember its not how fast you ride but how LONG you can ride on the road. :) Cheers to you on your fall. Its a blessing and look in the bright side. You learn something. :) I use to blame others when i fall last time. But once getting old i learn something. Its usually my own fault. :) but if i dun fall i will never knw and will eventually get even more ignorant and thats not so nice too. :)

See ya on the road sista. Oh do ring me up for lunch if you want. Hee hee hee i usually eat at Jalan Besar stadium. The thai food is FANTASTIC. :D
