i think it be gd for sentosa to @ least allow bike to park @ the carpark @ the visitor center & from there, we take 'eir transport to other part of sentosa .. cos from what i see, there seems to be a problem with the parking lot @ the harbourfront interchange

hmm well.. i think letting bikes into sentosa require going to higher authority.. like Mp? ha.. or newspaper? i dunno.. but its a good idea.. bikes can access alot of areas cars cant, and can save us alot of time of travel at sentosa.. hee, also maybe can pillon galfren to some unforsaken bushes.. and ehem:smile:

well, i totally support this idea of letting motorbikes into sentosa:cheer:

petition to sentosa..

hmm...

i work there..

and my answer...

i wouldnt be agreeable to the petition..

first thing first..

i know the roads there..

its small..

has lots of curves..

alot of people.. especially kids.. running around...

knowing road users..

people will speed and play the corner there..

its too risky for the pedestrians..

anyway the curves there..

most are up slopes..

if u were to have an accident.. (choy)

u would definately.. go tumbling down for sure..

end up at the small cliffs or straight to the water..

the rangers already have a hard time attending to the cases there..

wat more if there were road cases..

it would just add on and on...

there are definately more reasons to why motobikes aint allowed in...

think about it.. go figure..

The tree-lined avenue

Begins to fade from view

Drowning past regrets

In tea and cigarettes

But I can't seem to forget

When you came along

Ingenue, I just don't know what to do

Fr ur message.I assume the road users u r mentioning also includes cars as well.I believe the management should nt be stereotyping and only allowing cars to enter Sentosa.

I believe its equally dangerous and fatal regardless whether a car or bike were to roll down a cliff or into water..although yah,I agree that when cars hav accident, the chances r not as high as compared to bikes. But if accidents like such were to happen now to the cars, then I tink its much more troublesome for the rangers there to salvage the situation.

I would love to ride in Sentosa and enjoy going to which ever location or beach i wanna too. I agree with wad is said, cos there are SOME of the bikers who makes the ENTIRE community of bikers look dangerous and hazardous.

Sentosa is a tourist spot, which is supposed to be nice, quiet and friendly right?

Imagine a Harley Davidson convey there... How about the KTM boys and girls going there for a rounding trip? Cars are different, they don gather together and all go in with their modified exhuast at the same time right?

Imagine the mess the roads of Sentosa will be with motorbikes squeezing all over the place. Mainroads of Singapore is bad enough, why bring the stress to Sentosa?

I love Sentosa (frequent there before i started working) and i'm a biker. i don't mind squeezing and waiting for the bus cos going to Sentosa is supposed to be relaxed, why bother bringing in the bike where you will need to look out for traffic etc, etc right? Take the bus can talk to friends, see scenery (see girls) :cheeky:, etc

Not against anyone in particular, but this is really how i felt and i think its good that bikes don't go into Sentosa. Really hope i didn't offend anyone. :thumb:

I THINK, think only la, that if they can afford an apartment at the Cove, they usually will buy private seacraft or big big car rather than a bike... :cheeky: that's what i think la.... :cheeky:

do you guys notice that sentosa dun have a single traffic light?

They got their own good valid reasons for not allowing motorise motor cycles in sentosa: for safty reasons, noise pollutions, cost of deploying more rangers , cost of fixing speed cam, and there is monkeys n peacock walking around and crossing the road.

And if they allow it, all it take is just a black sheep to spoil the ambience of sentosa.

There used to have scrambler race there quite a few yrs back, all the scramblers are told to put on vans or lorry to transport into the island, and are only allowed to ride at the race area.

It had to be look at the view of whole picture.

i like the idea of parking at near the visitor centre... at least we get into the island.....from there, i'd be happy to take the buses around...

maybe we can petition on this basis.

saves us a whole of trouble.......

whats the difference?!? you can always park your bike at the carpark beside the hawker centre/ bus terminal... and take the sentosa bus in... i don't think this reason is valid... and how much time would it save bikers?!? 5 mins max.... and because of this sentosa have to fork out money to build a carpark for bikes on the island... doesn't make much business sense to me...

and are you very sure no ku-ku-jiaos would just skip the carpark and ride into the island proper?!? just imagine, sun-tanning at the beach and some scrambler just wheelie past you... or cycling on the track and a sp speed past you... accidents will shoot up 3-4 folds at least... plus so many small roads in sentosa, who is going to patrol?!?

so many cons, no apparent pros... will this idea get through?!? i doubt so... even though i think it'll be so cool to ride into sentosa, i doubt it'd ever happen...

just my two cents... hope i don't offend anyone... good luck on the petition... :goodluck: but don't get your hopes up too high...
