Suit should be fitting.. almost like tight fitting. Cannot be loose fit.

When worn and zipped up.... the armour paddings should not be easily moved out of position. If you can move it... then when you fall it will move too.. and you get no protection on that area.

Wear the suit and try and squat down. You should be able to do that even though the suit feels tight.

Buy suits that have CE armour in them, hump or no hump is not important and also get a back protector too. The suit cannot protect your spine only a back protector worn on the inside of the suit can offer some decent protection.

Avoid wearing 2 piece suits if you can. In a slide, they have been known to separate at the zip and the jacket gets rolled up ( more so if its loose fitting) and exposing the body's midriff to some road sanding.

Good quality leather will stretch to shape when seasoned. Spraying the suit with leather softeners and leather care products will keep it supple and soft... and most important of all, waterproofed.

Never hang the suit in direct sunlight. Preferably in an airy area or aircon room if possible.

Always wear an inner liner suit before wearing the suit. I will never buy a suit from a guy who does not wear an inner liner suit with the suit... unless you like his sweat and skin problems too. The purpose of the inner liner suit is to absorb your perspiration and also allow you to slip into or out of the leather suit easily.

Leather suits come in different grades and types of leather and with different types and amount of armour protection sewn in... so you pay for quality.

And lastly... what is good is never cheap. Like helmets... its your life and skin that is on the line.... how much do you value them.

Mr Raptor...good advise u gave. I agree with u a 101%!!!!:thumb:

Guys if u r serious about getting into dis sport, be it just as hobby, going for cheap protective gears is a no no. Maybe if for yr suits, for a start when u r slow, u can consider a cheaper suit(i am not recommending dis though). But when u gets aggresive n fast, do get a better quality suits. Good suits not only give u good protection(like DUREX...ooopzz, of topic), but also gives u more comfort, and less restriction to yr movements when doing yr laps. Its yr body, make yr choice.

But if let say for yr helmets....be it u r slow, fast or crazy, plz plz.....dun go for cheap helmets. Its yr HEAD!!!! Even a slow crash can have a big impact on yr head. I have a fren who crashed at T2 PG, his helmet split into 2 at the mouth area. He was wearing a low end AGV.
