Beat red light camera traffic light no flash means safe ???

hey guys

 

was riding last night along ghim moh rd towards singapore poly and accidentally beat a red light cam traffic light.. there was no flash and i made a trip back and check but there was no camera.

i was not able to stop in time due to travelling at 60+ and only saw it on the 2nd white arrow .. pls advise !

Hello, Not to worry. For wat I know the flash light is very bright sure can see. if for afternoon same. but for the traffic junction CCTV I not very sure.

It was at night...? Then more not to worry liao.... because like wat i say... for night it very very bright like lighting.... at my P-plate time I have beat red light at night before of cos not purposely one lor... just slow down when u going to reach a junction....

I beat red light last week near this queensway shopping centre..

hahah , got camera somemore.

but it has been a week le , still no news.

Just to share,

 

As a rule, slow a little when you reach the 1st arrow (means the 1st arrow you meet) marking on the road. This will give you ample time to stop if the lights change colour.

 

Only Blast your way if the amber light appear if you are near the stop line. Of course safety first. Check before blasting off, or it will be your last blast off to outer space.

i have witness a taxi driver dash over at sim lim facing a hotel,ard 5 secs and big white flash appear,i tink tat will gonna decide his fate.

It can detect all moving vehicles expect bicycle...

Not only me, also my pillion confirm the light is green even I reached to other side of road but no idea why it took me.

May be i used to take the middle lane??

 

I am very sure light is favour to turn green. Can I be summon by beating red light??

Maybe you were more on the middle lane than the right most lane when performing the turn. I saw some people doing what you did at AMK Ave 1 to CTE(Towards City) that junction under the expressway and got flashed too

i'm going with sjyong on this ,most likely if you get a flash, it will be due to failure to conform according to traffic light.I hope your bike is in the middle of the junction when the camera snapped.at least it gives you room to contest your reason.but nonetheless.fingers crossed and goodluck
