Teh O. KMY.

I expect that with your kind of posting and the sort of support you guys and gals are giving each other.

I would expect that you both show up at the Blood Bank. Even if you cannot donate. At least show that you deserve a little bit of respect then what I would give to folks who only knows how to hide behind a monitor to blast out insults and showcase their stupidity.

At least Maddog barks, and he provide the 'pure blood' to show for it.

Would you have been able to do the same?

Yes.

And do keep us updated when your blood cleared or that you actually donated. Otherwise, kindly do not pollute this thread.

I couldnt donate as I had surgery done early this month and thus rejected. So sorry guys. :sorry:

And yep.

My ride to another club outing got me totally soaked also.

Had a bad experience at Queens Town Club.

The miniture racing toy cars club kicked up a fuss with the Van Club people there using the carpark opposite their premises to do a photoshoot.

And because of the rain. A lot of members were hiding from the rain at their tentage, which a young man from the toy car club then came out and insist on being a azz.

Van club then move for friendier location.

Goes to prove again. Most young folks has no graciousness nor the maturity to handle big situations.

MANY THANKS to PIGGYFENG and XIAO-P for donating and also to XIAO-HEI and VK74 for coming down despite not donating.

Wow... no wonder you guys were all talking about this volley of words just now at the blood bank cafe. From the way they blabber away at a similiar frequency, we can all tell that kmy and teh-o must be good frens.

Frankly, teh-o, I dunno what are your points.

Firstly, there was no swearing, nor cursing, nor name-calling involved until you came in. I personally was on the receiving end of a post-op blood transfusion a long time ago. And quite recently, had an extended family literally kept alive by daily multiple blood tranfusions. This is why I fully understand the need and the gratitute of a blood receipiant and his/her/its family. This is something that you can fully understand only after going through it.

Secondly, yes, my blood is pure enough for donation, though certain occasional ailments and conditions might cause me to be temporarily donation unfit. Its purity is not by creed or by lineage, but by the fact that I choose it to be; by the fact that I do not subject myself to the dangerous, irresponsible or immoral activities, not that i'm saying that you partake in such recklessness. As for observing the stringent requirements for blood donors, I rest my case just based on the fact that Singapore has one of the safest blood tranfusion service in the world.

Thirdly, I fully acknowledge the existence of bodily donations for rewards and remuneration in the world today; this is not something which I condone. This is the subject of many on-going moral debates and I do not wish to further complicate matters.

Fourthly, are you trying to canonise or martyr me just because of my posts ? I can tell that for one, you're biased against people who live by a certain book and worship on sundays. Good thing that I try my best to observe vegetarianism twice a month, so you can't possibly biased aganst me.

Lastly, if I walk on fours because of my nick. Then you must be a popular person, because I constantly hear your nick shouted aloud at coffee shops.

P.S. I am also confused. The one issue that has been constantly resurfacing is that of this forum purporting freedom of expression, why then do i have to be the one to exercise restraint in being opinionative

I wonder how the other 2 bikes made it into the lots after some spiteful Super4 blocked the exit from the bike lots

Always glad to be of assistance.

You're welcomed.

Had you gone down not knowing that you were not suitable for donation today, it would have been a waste of time and fuel.

Maybe when you're suitable for donation, you could check with VK74 if she is suitable by then. When that occasion arrives, I'll be there to cheer u both on.

OUTING REPORT

This is a story of a blood donation....

one slightly overcast saturday morning, 2 pigs, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 buffalo skull went to donate blood

The dog and the buffalo skull arrived 1st, then the 2 pigs came seperately. Both pigs came slightly wet. The cat came after the donation started.

the 2 pigs and the lone dog got donated, the buffalo skull could not donate cos he just donated 3 days ago (no more blood... explains why it's only a skull left), and the cat is still nursing a surgeon's work and thus rejected from donating.

A session of bah kut teh then followed, funny that 2 pigs were cannibalising other pigs.

And they lived happily ever after..... well, at least for another 10 weeks... then they'll rendezvous again...

Quite frankly, i'd love to see people like u on the receiving end of a blood transfusion. Then u'll appreciate the work, effort, generosity and time of blood donors beyond the need of monetary returns.

Sorry :offtopic:

This is one of the cursing from Maddog which makes me very sad till today.

I only want to verify something from the forum before coming down for the donation but was be cursed till this way.

Having a wicked heart is more dangerous than telling everyone that u r a blood donar.

If I really want to donate, I will not tell the whole world about it but just walk in to donate.

Very disappointed in the way this forum members treat others.

Once again, Sorry to pollute this topic cos dun want to open a new topic.

For those who need more education, MUST read

DO YOU KNOW ?

Are you trying to tell me you are more educated than me or I'm less educated?(Insultation)

Extracted from "Do You Know" pointer:

A processing fee, determined by the Ministry of Health, is charged on each unit of blood or component for the processing, testing and storage services provided.

Did anyone really knows how much the hospitals charged patient for per unit of blood? How much is per unit refering to?

I felt that hospital shouldn't impost sure charges to patient since the blood is donated at our own will.

This is the question which I want to know and what I got from you is

if you don't know anything, then dun open your mouth....

t totally disgusts me that there are people like you who think that we should donate blood and expect a repayment. Of course, if blood is paid for, we'll never have shortage. But probably more blood from prostitutes, druggies and other undesirable donors will be discarded after they are being paid for. By then, the cost of receiving a blood transfusion will certainly be folds above what you're paying for now.

the only relevance of a NKF donation to blood donation is donors like you... donors who only donate for a repayment... some chance of winning tens of thousands for donating over a 1900 number maybe ?

The cursing already started before Teh O came in. Just that u are cursing in a more educated way, but no diff from Teh O.

More educated ppl like u are always on the winning side. Too Bad.

Posted

ahh.. good thing u caught me while I'm still awake. Let's spend some time on this before bed.

Oh, I see that you've finally visited the site! Let's see what else "Do You Know" says

•All donors are community volunteers, giving blood out of concern for those in need. No donor is paid for his or her donation.

• Likewise, the patients receiving blood transfusions do not pay for the blood.

• A processing fee, determined by the Ministry of Health, is charged on each unit of blood or component for the processing, testing and storage services provided.

And although it doesn't say anything about how much a unit is, a unit's physical worth is implied at this point

• The average adult has 4 - 5 litres of blood. At each donation, only 450 ml of blood is drawn. This is about one-tenth of the total volume of blood in the body.

I will not, and cannot, be bothered to quote all your past statements at this point. No point, also, repeatedly raking up what's been said and attempting to rephrase and re-represent them. I stand by what I have said. I shall, instead, clarify on your points about my view on education, especially that of my own. As for the "cursing" bit, I'll just leave it to public scrutiny.

Never have I, along the course of this displeasure, mentioned anything demeaning or devaulating on anyone's education, or lack of it.

Never have I attempted to honorify myself using my education, not that it's worth any such glamour to begin with.

I do not think myself as more educated than TehO, I just felt that he was going nowhere with what he had to say. Frankly, IMHO, education has got nothing to do with winning an argument or debate. All you probably need are facts to reinforce your points.

Yes.

Maybe so. Then kindly do go and donate and leave this thread alone as you so called yourself as being humble and whatever 'grace or dignity' you actually have.

Nobody asked you to come pollute this thread did it?

If you have not opened your 'mouth' to come here? Would anyone have attacked you for your stupidity?

As mentioned, until you are actually doing something about this thread. Kindly, and I repeat kindly. Don't open your big mouth here without using your brain.

And PS. If you have actually turned up at the blood bank, you wouldnt then have missed my crap I sprewed about educated persons and who are the ones actually donating blood to help save or maintained lives.

You, however don't seem to get the point again and again.

And if you want cursing. Then you are welcome to contat me personally and I give you the good strong reason to keep yourself uncursed with the need for any blood transfusion.

KMY, my pm is opened. You want to give excuses. Go ahead. I am sick and tired of your whining.

Guest ViciousKitty74
Posted

For that matter.

I do not like excuses.

Am already quite sick off and tired by some kids giving excuses to explain their wrong doings or their own stupidity.

And when someone recently asked me for a reason: My reply: "No, I have no reasons nor any excuses."

I do what I do. And I did what I did. I've also been able to walk tall, answer my own questions and does my own way. And even if it taxed me physically and mentally. But at least, I did it my way, on my own terms, on my own merit and with my own capability......(Ok....i am conceited. With loving support from friends.)

KMY, if you go and donate blood for the sake of others. Good for you. If you dont, then you are recommended to shut up and leave this thread alone. Patients dying out there couldnt care less whether you actually have an education or not. they care only for those that really counts when they needed the blood.

And right now, the three or 4 person that donated can easily stand up to be counted for their help then your 'help to bring up the issues that blood are charged to the patient.'

If you want to further enforce your show of intelligience, you are welcome to contact me by pm and I will reply with my contact number to discuss this further.

Any further posting.....and I think we can confirm what the rest of the forumers might think of you. ie. 'Stupid kid'

And yes....I mean it as a fact, or in your mind....an opinion. Whatever.
