I am on BT090, not so good for touring as it is track tire (cornering). i thinking of getting the M1 but currently Unquire workshop have a sale on pirelle tires. $295 for the Strand.

 

any comments?

 

mine bike now use pirelle tires... not bad lar... so far so gd..

 

 

can try weekday evening. anyway i muz be hm by 12am...

K&N air filter for our bike we are using the model SU-7592...as mentioned by rodman its for katana 750...no modification required...as for getting from eversuccess..they got no stock...if u are thinking of getting from the moonstone lane shop...they also got no stock..u can order from them but need to wait at least 1mth..will cost u about $130 if i didn't remember wrongly..recently i just made an order with millenium gear for the air filter...they are charging me $115-$120 inclusive of installation...but the stock not here yet...personally i feel that if u would like to change to a hi-flow air filter..its better to go with a hi-flow exhaust and vice versa..if not u won't really get the most out of it...thats just my opinion though =)

which one did u ask?..eversuccess or the moonstone lane one?...that time i got down to eversuccess..they told me they can order for me...and yes..k&n filter can be wash and reuse..if u happen to use k&n air filter and wants to wash it...make sure the bikeshop use k&n cleaning kit and not petrol or water..it'll dmg ur filter

yeah..i think most bikeshop doesn't bring in already...i haven't fix it coz the stock not here yet..anyway..should be around $115 to $120

i seem to have a prob with my baby.

 

she keeps seeming to stall when i'm cruising on expressways...

 

it seems when the engine is heated up, i'm on 6th gear.. doing about 100++

 

then she loses strength, opening up throttle doesn't do any good.

 

and she eventually dies.

 

takes forever to restart, and more that once i've had her towed to bike shop.

 

when it reaches there, the mech holds starter, and she roars to life.

scorpion also have road legal exhaust for the gsxr400. i saw it online, u can order from uk. iirc for the round gp model (cheapest) its 500+ish inclusive of shipping.

 

 

anyway was wondering, what size are u guys using for the main jet? my jetting **** up

coz the previous owner used non original needles. and when i changed back to original ones, i think its running way too rich, theres a crap load of black smoke. if i use my shorty pipe, even flames come out the exhaust.

if you are @ 100+ with 6th gear, wana drag is not easy, maybe shld down gear then open throttle. if i'm gg ard 100, use only 5th gear, once in awhile change to 6 only. could it be carb problem?

i think none will really know what's wrong with your bike unless they touches or see it.

hear they say CT2 or M1, who on GSX used it before? what is our stock tire size??

hey, thanks again for the quick replies. brought to mech again, he spend the whole day trial and erroring.. initially suspected carb problem, so he opened and cleaned, then still no good. next he tried adjusting the setting of the carb and the jets, still no good. then he suspected the radiator and the fans.. over heat problem.. closer, but still no good. finally, he checked the spark plugs and cable.. turns out when the thing got hot, the rubber in the cable expanded, cutting of the contact points from the sparkplus.. so all of you are right.. together. heh. seems to run fine now.. hopefully it stays that way.

according to the spec sheet..main jet is 100#...pilot jet is 47.5#....got no idea what is the # about

really sparkplug? like that i'm right that night darkdragon called me... try spray water @ the sparkplugs with engine running. you will know whether any leakage.
