i have been going to Racewerks for about 2 years already. I trust them, and besides, i was there for the whole fixing process. the mech tested my components one by one, starting with the battery. it refused to charge, even after changing a new battery. so it was definitely the coil. he bought a new one, and tested. then at the same time, found the rectifier had gone as well. so he looked for a second hand one for me (:

 

the mechs there are definitely dedicated, sometimes even staying up as late as 11+pm to help me with my bike when they supposedly close @ 9pm.

 

 

 

next coffee session ah? hmmm. i try to organise something small. what time are you guys usually free on weekday nights? just somewhere in the area, not too early, not too late.. can chat, get to know each other and EAT! (:

 

 

 

were you riding a red g4, with a half face? i believe we've just met, mr gravity. i ride a '95 G4, blue and white paint, blue and red OGK full face. Honked a rider along Jalan Bahar. (:

 

haha..yes..i'm sure its u..ur paintwork is the original paintwork right..i'm riding a white and orange g4..are u studying in NTU also?..anyway...the mechanic didn't test ur rectifier before testing the magnetic coil?...coz even guan hoe's boss said that magnetic coil is really difficult to malfunction..my personal opinion would be to test the rectifier first before testing the coil coz rectifier is a cheaper part to replace...and just mths back..my bike had problem charging the battery too...it ended up to be the rectifier problem..after replacing the rectifier..my bike is up and running again..was able to use back my less than 1mth old battery without problem...but well..since now that u changed the coil...u can be very sure that ur coil can serve u a long long time =) :thumb:

white and orange g4. wear white helmet? saw 1 frm pioneer mall weeks back. pass by ave 4 then dont know go where then pass by pioneer mall again. o_O

hmm...don't think its me...haven't been to pioneer mall for quite some time le...and i don't have white helmet..haha :smile:

All the other threads i follow always plan outings 1 month in advance, then in the end, all cannot make it, ALWAYS kenna scrap the day before.

I believe, most of us here are busy with work, girlfriends, mistress and family. Therefore the kind of outing, i guess got to be slightly different. e.g. playing football, kitting or pocket biking at carpark. Anyway it's just a suggestion. :)

thanks bro, btw i sawe the g4 im getting... not sure condition how good... btw which insurance is the cheapest and u gues recommend..? just pass my 2a and just turn 21...

Insurance, i heard it pain in the a**. For you my guess will be around $1300.00. Cheapest, can try NTUC lar....others not too sure, make some call ler.

Condition, do a visual check on wear and tear / oil leak places. Get the engine run at idle for few minute make it hot, play with the lighting, accelerate slowing (listen to engine con-rod for noise) at the same time talk to the salesperson as to kill time thus making him hopefully not realising your intention.

well, im buying from the vtec88 guy, the 1 whom is selling all those bikes part, accesories and broquet n stuff like that... his bike at hkl... should be quite ok ah... wah, $1300 for insurance why so exp..? hahaha, crazy price sia... how u guys tahantahan the insurance...

Not sure about the rest, but for me im an old man. Only pay insurance for my 2 bike between $180 to $250. :)

ok bro thanks... i heard its around 300 to 600 but i haven called them yet... bought my g4 already... hope to meet u guys soon... from the looks of my new baby, the external is horrible but the engine is not bad...
