dont think there's a need to do those you mentioned.. upgrade to cls2 if its limit is nothing to you liao. cos anything happen to the engine, i think you will rather scrap it...

Brought them back with me when I returned from the UK.

They still have lots of parts for 400cc sports bikes.

But if you're in Singapore, I guess mail order is the only way to get things done.

yoshitei, do u have any website or something which i can view the parts, regardless of brand new or second hand... btw can i trust them..? what if i pay n gont get the item..?

For the GK76A, the RPM in 5th and 6th gear are restricted to around 13k. If you can get past that, your bike will pull past 200km/h easy. You could either purchase an after market CDI or rewire the gear position sensor to get past the restriction.

For the later, the contacts for 4th, 5th and 6th need to be cross wired to those for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Any other contacts for the former needs to be removed along with a diode. Trick the bike into thinking your in 3rd and you should hit 240km/h on a good day.

When I was in the UK, my GSXR was bored to 450cc and had around 80+bhp at the rear wheels. The engine rebuild alone cost more then the bike itself, Carrillo Ti con rods, CP pistons, micro blue bearings, cryogenics treated engine and transmission ect.

But it was fun to see the looks on the faces of the Ducati riders in the corners as the try desperately to shake you. Lots of technical knowledge and money here. I don't think any LBS would be able to support such an ambitious project.

If you really want, you'll need deep pockets.

Knock on the doors of APE and Yoshimura. For the right amount of money, I'm sure they will restart the production for you.

I havn't any problems with APE, CP and Carrillo, I don't think Yoshimura would give any delivery problems. Problem would arise when you can't really describe what you want and they sell you something else.

Frankly, like what Ben mentioned, get a liter bike and you'll be fast even if you're ham fisted.

Or you could get a 600cc, improve the power to weight ratio with carbon fairings and a more aggressive camshaft or drop a GSXR 600 engine into your GSXR 400 body. Cheaper and you'll bet more bhp for the amount of money you put in.

You're not going to improve your resale value with a 100bhp 400cc bike.

haha, thanks... well im not sure what my bike need thou, putting a 600cc in a 400cc can fit..? hahaha well thats too much to ask for... to my knowledge using good brand internal parts like fag high speed bearing, good conrod n piston, good oil and air filter or something with good oil is enough(correct me if im wrong, all this come from my 2 stroke knowledge)... moreover singapore road u cant do much at most give those 600cc and above bikes alittle chase thats all... im planning to stick with my bike long term... i find 600cc and not so important track also 400cc enough... hehe... internal change of parts to good quality parts are all im looking for... external parts all if can get a good end can enough already...

Motor swap can be done, but the engine mounts and fairings need some work.

FAG ceramic bearings, Carrillo Ti con rods, CP pistons should be nice. Problem is your crankshaft. Hard to find one that can take 18K RPM at an increased combustion pressure. A lot of trial and error here unless you can find someone here who's willing to share his knowledge - that's if he's for real - and you'll need deep pockets.

Works only on engines with fuel injection.

Would not do anything on your GK76A.

As for fuel, I use 95 octane in mine. It wouldn't go any faster on 98 octane and if it would, JP10 would be a better option.

JP10?? bro.. u sure jet fuel is better den petrol??

lemme noe if ya interested and we'll go burn some rubber together ^^

You want high octane, JP10 is easily available in Singapore.

Else, you could try VP Outlaw or R110.

Costly but for the latter, it's octane 110 and you'll need to tune your motor to run such fuel as it works best with high compression engines.

im interested to burn some rubber..... wher u stay bro??

I'm in the North for now, next to Devil's Bend.

Not sure about how much it could cost to bring Galfers in via mail order, but I got my EBC Pro-Lite (3045/3081) for around S$950. Should still have a set at my place in MY.

bros, last night i warm my bike up... then ride a few rounds... its easy to start my bike when its cold just 1 time n it started... but after the bike is warm, it suddenly just died off when left for to idle for about 2minutes... the bike was already quite warmed up n i it was hard to start it again... had to press a few times to start it n had to press alittle longer as compared to a cold start... may i know is it normal..?

Could be your fuel pump and many other causes which needs to be rectify with some test. Best to go bikeshop.

If any GSXR400 riders need a brand new 16mmx18mm brembo master cylinder, do let me know, letting go at $260 with braking light switch, brake reservoir and adjustable lever. Pm me for further queries.

Sounds like you bike is running rich and your carburetors may need some work.

If I had to guess, I'll say your float height needs to be looked at and at worse, they may need replacement.
