I know of this shop which do machining for motorcycle parts, its at perak road, it a small and run down shop, but they charge quite cheap. Last week I bought my brake caliper there to repair a damage screw thread for $10. You can try asking if they do flattening or not??

If you want to DIY try the loctite 609 retaining compound, it holds up quite strong. I have applied and let it set for 3hrs and its works amazingly well. If you need the loctite I can pass some to you.

surebrother , if everything's ready would like to meet up with u one day! Btw is this compound stable or not? Will there be any alignment differences after applying onto the discs?

Nope maybe for 6mths only, but the brake disc too thin will pose a hazard to myself and other if it should fail.

You can see the result on my bike and determine yourself if the compound is suitable. The only thing need to take note is not to apply too much, because its watery and some of it drip on to my brake disc which I use a ultra fine sand paper to sand it off.

For better result use engine degreaser to clean the parts you want to bond before applying the compound. I didn't but it work quite well also

For alignment wise you have to check your brake disc, the 2 disc should line up nicely. After apply just let the compoiund set for 1-2hrs, and the label says full set in 24hrs.

U r so right, very considerate.... kudos to u...

I made the oiler myself, it lubes both side of the o-ring chain, no hassle to lube the chain at all. I am selling the oiler for $25, you interested?? Maybe got outing I show you guys.

I would like to c the oiler if possible.. seen 1 at GH on a bandit, must pump the bottle till e tube full of oil then it will slowly drip out.

I heard the Scott oiler uses the carb to draw the oil so once bike start it will keep oiling...

The Rabbit oiler i dunno how it works though.. I heard of another one which uses a air flow valve in front, near the handle bar, can adjust the flow of the oil...

I'm curious...

Brocks Rocks!!!! Best for Kawa.

1) Look out and feel the body frame and others.....any bend or weld back before one. [touch the side of the head fairing, u will feel rough edges if the bike has gone down b4]

2) Look out for the engine number (Orginal or defective) and tally with the LOG Card. [this one have to get his log card but often owner wont bring it]

3) Engine wise....Any leaks of engine oil.

4) Start the bike, easy or not.....Then rev the bike, smooth or not. c got white smoke or not

5) Check with the owner or boss, what stuff have been done on this bike.

6) Check on the Rims (Front and Rear). (esp if there is crack dent or bent]

7) Check on the radiator (Any leak or strain of water or coolant).

8) Ask the owner or boss, any warranty for the CDI.

9) Test ride the bike.[ dun do it on busy road, beware of TP]

10) Check for oil leak at front fork (c if the chrome is gone or rust) and suspension [press the bike down c if it rebounds up or it comes up slowly with damping. It should Hiss when going down]]

11) Check the front and rear wheel by shaking left and right should not have any free play

12) Check all electrical are working

13) Check the brake disc if its too thin [check the brake disc if its loose and floating]

14) Check the brakes if its working properly [ this one can solve by shanging brake pads and bleed the fluid usually]

15) Check the condition of tires, chain and sprocket [ this is wear and tear, if u can ask the owner to change a new one.. but they wont spend $200 to give u original sprocket and o or x ring, so settle this urself]

16) Check the steering cone if its binding

17) Check the meters are working light bulb can be changed $1 per pc, speedo cable can be =changed ard $15 per pc

18) Clutch in the bike during idling and c if the engine sound changes, if it does the clutch housing could be damaged. Also if u clutch in u hear a clik sound from the front sprocket the clutch hook is going to give way soon..

Best is bring along one of our guys to view the bike with you.

Checking the bike is tedious and limited to depth of knowledge, we can only help as far as we know, beyond that, only a mech can tell after he tear apart the whole bike..
