The water will not get into the engine because there is a gasket on the spark plug, unless your mech never tighteh to the correct torque on there is dirt which result in the spark plug unable to seal properly.

To see if there is water in the spark plug recess hole, remove the spark plug cap and shine a light to see if there is water, if there is, dry with a cloth and try to start again. Later bring to shop to use compress air to blow out all the water and check the rubber cap on the spark plug cap as it may have worn out or its not properly cap by your mechanic after change of the spark plugs.

Water filled up in the recess hole will cause current short to the engine case instead of its normal path direct to the end of the spark plugs, hence no spark and ignition.

thanks dude! :cheer:

carribena is da thing then can hook on to a line wan.. u noe wall climbing?? Da metal thing hook to u and da safety line?

paradox00: u check ur plugs cables ( issit full of black tape?)..or ur plugs connector. is da rubber still in good shape? If u manage to start ur bike, just remain ur throttle warm up at 2.5k to 3k constantly. Good its tat it can charge ur battery , warm up faster and solve da problem of having da 1 faulty plugs if u have. But remember to sit on ur bike, dun put side stand n warm up. Wont be tat good. U try sit on it and warm up n side stand warm up. U will feel da difference

thanks i dont think i saw any masking tape taped over my spark plug connector.. oh yah i'm also aware of starting my bike sitted on it. but it's just kinda of funny, when i sit on it lift up side stand and just press the starter , somewhere in the engine just gave up a 'piak' sound. anyway how to know whether the rectifier spoilt? and starter coil ?

Can rebuilt I suppose but never tried, the spring for the gsxr750 is much stiffer, it can't be as bad as our 400.

If the damper is spoilt, used with a stiff will get u a bouncy ride. No point. Anyway, i think it will be rather difficult to find that shock also.

Can check the preload and do some adjustment on the suspension setting. If still fails can consider getting rear shock from 92-95 gsxr750, or 93-97 RF900 at a fraction of the original rear shock cost. They will fit in nicely without any modification needed and all the dampening is adjustable and there will be no change of ride height too.

The newer shock may also fit but require modifications.

thanks so much for e info... hope the suspension for e bigger capacity not too ex...:thumb:

The 93 gsxr750 which I bought last time is US$15, another US$31 to ship here and I DIY to install the shock myself. Altogether S$105.

As long there is no leak on the shock will be fine, if you got extra cash can send to bikelab to recharge the cannister and it will be as good as new.

And in the US the bike generally have very low mileage because they can't ride the bike during winter; and the shock usage will be low too.

You have to keep looking at ebay on yahoo auction, sometimes the shock will pop up.

Fyi there is one currently at ebay, its selling at US$49, I find it on the high side, but if I feel rich this week I may go for it.

noob noob..

1 bottle enough to treat 18L of distilled water and assuming gsxr400 used 3L of coolant each time, you can use it for 6 times.

Ohlins shock for 85/86 gsxr750 bid starts from 62 pounds. Not sure will fit the G4, please check with the seller if the centre hole to centre hole measure to 305mm, if yes, it will fit in nicely.

bro, either the rain went into the spark plugs... u try warm up till the temp reaches half...or around 20mins or so...den off the engine. wait for 2-5mins let the water evapourates... den u see how again~
