Ur Ex CBR and NSR wat plate? if ur Ex CBR no prob, y u change bike? and how much u paid for the different bikes?

No harm intended, jus some qn that u should ask urself.. Arcfire replied ur post as well, its an old bike bike but there are many on the road still going fine. Clutch plate and sus will wear over the years lor, anything on the bike will wear, its jus how much... IF ur still riding the GSXR, happy riding... If u really dun like it then scrap it and take back a CBR or NSR.. :cheeky:

p.s. If u do scrap ur bike do let us know b4 hand? so we can gain from it..

100% agree with you, wear and tear is bound to happen to old bike. It can happen to new bikes as well if never take care.

It also depends if previous owner got take care or not, if the worn parts has replace by the previous then new owner is lucky.

P/S: If anyone is scrapping their gsxr, inform me also I want to get spares too.

hey bros out there? what should i do if my bike happens to break down at 2nd link coming back to sg? cause quite scare lehz.... whack half way later hear BOOM!!!(choy)

eh bro, I agree it's essential to get precaution by getting tow truck no. But I don't understand Why is there a need to scare that bike might break down loh, No confidence in GSXR400 in your bike? Unless U never really take care of your bike la. The more u think, the more worried u r. So Don't worry be happy!!

PS: Not for my case, I did took TLC of it and yet it gave me a surprise stunt at the NSH highway. Icez and the rest should know wat happened.

Btw U Juz bought the bike? I think it's better to understand your bike better before bringing to 2nd link and whack. Bring it to a bikeshop for checkup as assurance then.

Is there light bulb on the temperature gauge? I pulled out the grommet and only saw a few wires but didn;t see any light bulb. For the speedo and tachometer I saw a light bulb in each.

Going to replace with LEDs one, as the old one quite dim already.

Planned mods for this year are 442cc big bore, gas flowed head, cams, new headers and cdi mods. Also radial brakes and gold forks and a double braced swingarm.

:hungry: for more power! But i wouldnt change my bike for the world!

Here everyone is 600cc plus but i want mine to be individual!

I think you went to the wrong mech to service your gsxr400, Guan Hoe is at Eunos Ave 3 is the suzuki servicing centre, they would have solve all your problems.

I rode the CB400 and change to gsxr400, they are both different bikes, street and sports. So its not comparable, I like the CB400 because the riding is more comfortable can install rear box, I like the GSXR400 because its more fun to ride.

Btw CB400 ver s have the coolant leaking problem at the engine block, take care, if you see coolant leaking from the hole on the side of your engine, prepare to spend abt 1K to change the block. My fren, ver s, is leaking, but temporary his mech use sealant to seal up.

Hi dude,

K&N doesn;t make air filter for gsxr4, which K&N filter you using on your bike now.

Some of the guys here use the katana750 ones, and do some mod on the airbox to fit. But I do not wish to do the irrevesible mod on my air box, just in case I dont like it.

I know the 92 gsxr750 is using similar air filter. There are some dimension difference between the 92 gsxr750 and the katana 750, from K&N website. Do you know if the 92 one will fit in straight without modification?

gsxr400racer is selling the big bore kit?? too ex for me though. I saw his claim, on his signature at banditalley, 88 gsxr400 making 69HP.

Yes thanks, I realise the choke slider tab is broken on one side, temporary I use a cable tie to hold the end of the choke cable to the slider and its working fine.

I have a spare carb from my old gsxr750wp, I am going to take a look to see if the 750 choke slider can be install on the 400 when I took the carb out to clean.

My next project is to install a 98 katana750 shock on the G4, its fully adjustable. It should fit right in, since the centre hole to cente hole of both shock is the same.

Btw I have stiffen my front fork with 10w fork oil, the front doesn;t dive and buttom out compare to before. The front is higher and its cushion all the bumps and hole on the road much better . I think my mech pour in alittle extra fork oil, the remaining fork oil he return to me is quite less. When I pump the fork, holding the brakes, its feels much harder compare to before.

we finally managed to sort out the K&N issues and after a lot of effert we have found one!

K&N

Jays bike is producing 69bhp at the minute(398cc)! His big bore engine hasnt gone in the bike yet either! With the 442cc you can expect to see between 20 and 25% increase in power as the compression ratio is increased too! I am currently working on the 3rd phase of development. Where jay is working on a 465cc kit. The 442cc will be say 59bhp +20-25%

I am currently working on a cdi mod too!
