bloody hell....very pissed off with my bike esp when its raining, not sure why but the pistons seem to be running out of power...guess its too early to jump to conclusions...gonna get it fixed, hopefully by tomorrow since the fcken weather doesnt seem to fancy my bike.

Maybe u need to check ur sparkplugs's cap. Make sure there's no blacktape around da cable to plug cap. If so might be becoz da wiring was cutted open. Ur sparkplugs cap might be not in a good shape, then when it rain, water go into 1 of ur cylinder, then u cant start ur bike or bike no power.

so shawn i face the prob that u mention so roughly how much will it cost to get the plug's rubber cover changed? or change the whole sparkplug cable?

Motul 5100 semi syn, $12 per bot at racewerk alexandra village. 3.2L with oil filter change, if only engine oil change, check the right side of engine.

Plugs cable u can buy NGK racing cable at LAB or u can PM PROJECT_GSXR coz he bought it and not using. Think its $30.. cant rem.

 

Last time my was all budget. I bought it all 2nd hand from planet. NGK racing cable and plugs caps. Da plugs caps maybe u can go look for 2nd hand wan and look at da condition.

 

Actually if ur cable is long enuff just cut away that portion and reconnect can liao.

I would recommend Fuchs Pro4 Fully syn. I used it b4 and its smooth! That time i bought it from private selling $14 per bottle.

 

Btw change EO u must top up 2800ml (or 2900ml look at ur engine casing i cant rem)

 

EO + oil filter u must refill it up to 3200ml. Straighten ur bike and look at ur right hand side. There's a mirror gauge to check ur EO's level. It must be above L and around H. ITS A MUST TO CHECK coz most of g4 got EO leaking somewhere. So must on and off top up.

 

Btw 2500ml is for bandit.. not for gsxr400. Sometime da manual not accurate.

If spark plug cable damage, you can get the replacement from this guy, dennis loh from Super4 forum.

 

Brand of the cable is Top Gun, $3 per metre approx 2m will do, price is for ownself DIY. If you want him to change the cable for you, additional workmanship $15 is applicable.

 

I planning to replace all mine as mine looks old and stiif alreeady and price sounds reasonable as well. According to him, there is improve in performance of the bike after change.

 

Will test to see if the cable fits the standard plug cap, will update you guys.

It was a great trip.. despite the fact that it rained everyday and unforeseen happening.. it had never dampen the spirit of the G4 gang! to you guys!

Hi,

 

As always, our trips always very da happening!

The old grumpy A.R.S.E was not able to spoil the trip for us.

Sad thing is that the weather was wet, and that only on the last nite before

the day we left, we found out on our rounding trip that the most happening place

was just right across on the street opposite our hotel.

 

Nice to meet up with new acquaintances and to catch up with the old ones!
