guys.. need advice!

didn't ride for a few days and guess the plugs are fouled again. the bike cannot start.. same problem as the previous time.

since it's spark plugs problem, guess push start won't be able to help?

Also.. what can I do to prevent plugs from fouling again? Wash carbs? Retune? Quite irritating to not ride for 2 or 3 days, and the bike can't start again...

Hi there....your prbs seems.....to be similar to wat i had long time ago wif my old G4....It could be due to the carburretor pin....which mite be bend or damaged....plus there's a small spring inside it too.....so i guess...u mite want to do a carb....maintainence.....besides all the things u mention abt doin to the carb....Hope this helps....

hmmm..u mean all 4 plugs fouled? Well...hmmm...if not all 4 plugs dmg...u still can push start...but bike will have loss in power...As for solution, check the plugs connector rubber is it torn if it is den everytime rainwater will enter. Check ur sparkplug cables if they are in gd working condition...if all things fail den check ur carb and rectifier...

i'm havin abit of porblem... hope sumone can help rectify it for mi....

Mi bike is starting ok as usual... but when i change form gears to gears, wen clutch fully, the seems to be no power... when i kick mi gear n release mi clutch, power ok back....

And when i shift down mi gear, eg: frm gear 2 to 1, when fully clutch , suddenly like bike no power....

But when riding, there seems to be no porblems at all.....

Hope sumone can enlighten mi.... Thanx!

Did u switch ur fuel clock to PRI? If so better don't.

Push start sure can start. Just find a slope, roll down (for about 3-5 metre) in neutral gear. Then kick up to 2nd gear(will hear a loud TAK sound) then throw ur clutch 'fully' and throttle (depends on ur engine sound u heard). Then once the engine is back roaring, just keep throttle and hold it at 3k/rpm till the engine sound stronger (not weaken sound indicate its partially warmed up) Oh ya, rem to kick to neutral gear.

I had used this tactic for continuous 2 weeks. Lucky my house got a long down slope and my working place got a steep down slope. No time to visit motordiam that time. haha.

Ok, u mean 2-3days nv ride, when u crank ur bike it cant start? Is there any cranking sound? Try to throttle a little while pressing ur crank switch. If u imagine to hear the engine is coming alive yet da sound is weak. Try to increase your throttle slowly. Hold on to 3k/rpm for about 2min. Then its fully warmed up. Might be your battery is weak or there's a overflow in ur carb which wet your plugs.

Loss of power only gt a few reasons

1) Spark plug spoiled

2) Air Filter Chocked

3) Engine Oil too low

4) Carb not balance

5) Timing runout (Unlikely)

U check out one by one lor...bound to be one of them.

To my knowledge, G4 only has "PRI", "ON" and "RES"

PRI is to allow fuel to flow directly into the carbs, this is especially useful when u r dragging.

ON is for normal usage where fuel enters the crabs by vacuum suction.

RES is to allow fuel to flow from the reserve tank

Have fun riding your G4 :cheer:

but i have some simple checks for u..

1)signal dun work check the wirings.

2)high bean dun work gt to be either the controller, wiring or blub

3)eo indicator dun work ...check the eo sensor its below ur radiator behind the exhaust header...i think shld be near the eo filter

4)horn dun work shld be wiring prob or maybe horn faulty

As for the temp gauge, i suggest u get someone to check maybe its faulty.
