GSX400RR Riders

Hey guys, need some info from u all.

as some of u might haf read, my gsxr400 is on the way....at the motordiam right now being done up n resprayed.......

n before i collect it next month i tink i'll be going down to test ride the bike to see if the engine n everything is in check before i collect it at a later date......

 

Juz need so info on what i should be looking out for, for damages.

n another thing is, how loud is the engine of the gsx during idling?

how can i roughly determine whether the engine is in gd condition w/o tearing the engine apart?

Hi, Fellow GIxxers, I got a spare rectifier..but i am not sure if it is working..Anyone need a rectifier to try it out?? Btw.. anyone changed to aftermarket pipes or "tong" their..what is the effect on horsepower and sound. Need rejeeting or retuning??

hey guys, our thread haven't organise any outing yet. Just everyone is shy about meeting one another..well so am I..

Can anyone suggest a local outing to Kallang KFC or maybe a short trip to Johore for topping up of petrol..I really cant wait to have a Gsxr400RR outing ...not to mention the combined "music" of a dozen Gsxr's exhaust roaring outside KFC or at any traffic stop..bound to attract lotsa attention..

Suggest this 1st outing to be local...someone please carry on from here..

 

Great to join in outing but I noticed tt there is no outing 4 gsxr united liao. Try to organise outing so tt ppl will turn up and make friends. Dun be shy lor. Ppl here are friendly lor

you can test it out mar.. swap it and use a voltmeter...

Ok guys, I am looking for a GSXR Fuse box..(under the rider seat)..anyone scrapping..contact me..Oh..I have an advice for GSxr400RR riders out there..Avoid any "buang" on the right side of the bike..most likely the impact will chip ur magnetic coil in the engine..Thus making ur charging system malfunction..and damaging ur rectifier..in the process..BTW anybody know how to DIY the clutch cable?

Hey Rick, I enjoy myself alot..and learn that every rider and GSXR has their own character..(urs got the best sound )..Oh. I changed my Clutch cable at HKL today $18.. changed by a mechanic called Ah-ken..He is the best mechanic at HKL..

He even took out the clutch cable housing and cleaned it for me..and adjusted my free play..ask me to try it ..and keep adjusting until I happy...I strongly recommend Ah-ken..at HKL...or ah kiong...other mech they give u... better push ur bike out..haha

Oh pertaining to RS4 problems...NSF also can go overseas..like malaysia for a day...I didnt know it was illegal..but I still do it every week..

I dun mind going for weekly JB petrol pumping session..with you guys..just set a time..or u guys can jio my on my hp..leave me a sms..Hope more Gixxer can join in the fun too...we dun care whether U r RP or RR or even GSXR...what matters most is everybody enjoy themselves...

many ppl say gixxer is problem bike. but i strongly discourage this though for potential 2a upgraders....

every bike sure got problem. is jus that u take over a good or lousy bike.

i and my friend going in to jb pump petrol and buy loko next thursday.
