It's a lot more convenient if they accept credit cards coz 1) have to guess the cost and change money for that amount beforehand, plus some extra cash for contingencies 2) I dun like travelling with a lot of money in my wallet

ANYWAY...

I think I'm starting to like my new sprocket ratio. Previously on 15/45 setting, while I get 500RPM lower rev to cruise at the speed limit, I find that the bike's roll-on acceleration suffers horribly once past 170km/h. It would still make 210km/h but after 170km/h the needle will climb oh-so-slowly even with the throttle wide open.

But now with 14/47 sprockets, the bike pulls cleanly all the way! Managed to whack 200km/h opn the old Subang airport highway before running out of road last nite, and even at that speed it was still pulling. Didn't get a good look at the RPM but I think there was still about 3,000RPM left over before redline. Maybe it'll pull all the way up to 220km/h... this I must test one day!

A 0.36 reduction in gearing really does have a huge difference in performance. Hmm..

u thought me something new today... well... bout ur credit card issue, u can always bring ur card and draw some cash wif it at certain atms...

One more question.

On my FM plate RR model, I noticed something abt the CDI.

Two socket. One is 4 pin and one is 6 pin.

6 pin socket is connected to the wiring harness.

The 4 pin socket on the CDI is connected via a 2 wire socket and linked to the

wiring harness which means 2 pin is not linked at all.....

Any idea why?

And sorry to bug you all.... I went down to tealeaf's place to collect the fuel

tank and once I was there. I off and when I tried to start the bike, it sounded like the starter motor was jammed. There was headlight, rear signal and signals and horn but just can't start.... Tealeaf pushed start for me and when I reached home, I tried the e-start and now it works okay.....

Any idea what's wrong?

When I reached home, off and tried to e-start the thing and it works!

Hmmm..... The starter I just keep for spare. Kekekek...

Thanks again.

i tried that before...

big mistake, depending on which credit card company. for mine, there's a min service charge of $30 per $1000 withdrawal from atms. i withdrawed $2k that time, incurred $60 costs on top of interest (my interest also not that much  ).

if u have a maybank account, maybe u could look for maybank atm's to withdraw from.

or check out your credit card company policy on withdrawing from atms overseas before doing that.

Really have no idea what happened.

As for the kickstarter, just loosen whatever is fastening the lever to the shaft,

reposition it to the angle that you like and tada.... :goodluck:

i tried.... wheel didnt even lift a cm, i got no skill/guts haha. Engine stalls if u flick the clutch off too fast. Dumping it slower only makes the front feel light and off u go screaming away from standstill, front doesnt lift at all.

anyway i dunt think anyone would use this method to wheelie.

haven had a chance to try other methods yet.

Me too! Drawing cash from credit card overseas is indeed a very expensive affair. In SG got Maybank meh? But if I need to trek across the island to find one, no point also...

KTKT: The last time my batt kaput on my ZZR, all my lights & horn were still working... but stab the starter, nothing happened. Just like in your case lah. So I think you had better check your batt's condition also.

Why? It makes sense - your lights & horn don't draw that much power. But your starter motor sucks a lot of juice. So even though a dead batt has enough juice to power the lights & horn, it will have trouble cranking the starter motor..

Does anyone here have a spare coolant cap? The one used for covering the coolant under the pillion seat one..PM me k? Thanks.

Go buy a generic oil filler cap. You know, the cap that covers the hole where you pour the engine oil in? It will do the job of plugging your reservoir bottle just as well..

There's a hard plastic one, like on your GSXR400 or a soft rubber one which I think is less of a b!tch to remove.

Either one, the cost should be one or two bucks only lah.

ZZR Pilot---> Oh I see.... Kekekek spare starter motor for sale! :offtopic:

Anyway, hoping to meet up with follow GSX riders as well.

Maybe a kopi session? :hungry:

there should be quite a few. CBD area should have 1.

anyway if u'r coming in by 2nd link, just drop by at Jurong Point shopping centre beside Boon Lay mrt station. there's a maybank atm machine at level B1 directly in front of the escalator.

When I bought my GSXR400 it was still on its original endless chain. I reckon the sprockets are the original set, too. The sizes were 13T front, 47T rear.

The wobbling/vibrations could be anything.

Worn out wheel bearings or steering cone bearing. Can be swingarm bearing also.

where else still got bearing ah..... :help:

As for the exhaust, still waiting for someone who has experienced in this issue to feedback.

To the rest.... The odometer screw came off my bike and now I can't reset the

odometer.... Went to LAB and he told me agent no more stock. He has it somewhere in his store but dunno kept where. told me if can find it will give it to me....

Anyway, anyone here got lobang for it?
