Sometimes, there is no need to change the CDI, bring it to SIm lim towers and ask the electronics shop people to look at it, they will change the electrical components such as the blown capacitors for you.

Hi, i m thinking of selling my gsxr400, condition is good, rectifier, batt, back tyre, speedo gear and cable changed. side engine covers changed too. fn plate, coe is renewed for 10 years. roughly how much can i get? u guys know the market price?

hi guys...have some quieries abt my bike,hope any1 here can help..

my engine gives out a "tak,tak,tak" sound wen idling..heard frm a fren dat my piston may hv 'grind' d block..is dat true??bt wen moving off,its less audible..

bt recently svs already,still persists..kanchong liao...

also,u guys noe where d best plc 4 pressing of fork..seems lyk mine off liao..

Well, what servicing did you do? If you had just changed oil, tighten your chain, changed tyre, tune carburettors, i.e. external works I wouldn't expect the problem to mysteriously disappear just like that.

 

Then again, it depends on what kind of sound that is..... a few possibilities may be timing chain(rarely heard of), engine knocking due to too low octane petrol used(even more highly unlikely given the age of the bike : 98, 95 octane might not have existed at the point in time when the bike was produced)

 

I'd suggest bringing the bike to a mech that you trust or bring it to Guan Hoe to have it checked out. Problem may be big may be small depending on who you bring it to.

FN plate most likely tat's a "P" model....If yur COE just renewed...price u cld fetch for is ard...2200-2400....judging by the tings u've changed...and if there's receipt to prove it...even better...Search the GARAGE forum i think there's a guy looking for a G4....his nick is "predator v3"....not tat i know him just tat am always in GARAGE sale looking for new items on offer...hehehehe

Yup....cld be too....just making guess....anyway...someone mention in the garage...tat the market price for G4 is $1600....hehehehe kinda stereo typing mentality....not looking into the value of the bike by the parts...hmmmm...some ppl can be so ignorant and just blast of their mouth wif any amt wifout proper info...

you can see it when you look from the right side of your bike into the carb etc etc . There's this flower shape knobe sticking out in the middle of the bike .

hey guys.. where to adjust the idiling ah?

 

 

Bro u can adjust yur idling yurself...but do take note...dnt let it be too low...coz..u mite just end up having difficulty starting the bike in the morning...hehehhehe.....and setting yur idling requires the bike to be at a proper temperature....

wan a not? "....Very tempting leh....that wat wld i do wif my current G4....which is a demon itself(just have yet to tune-up)..Should gif me this offer 1mth ago...before my "birdie/sm" was out....hehehhe
