i do go down... but since u just got tat bike, i suggest u learn the characteristic of the bike first... its quite demanding on the track for the rider and the bike...

think planet has them, they just scrap a few GSXR... else u can go down to the scrap near jurong island, it cost ard $50, bargain price urself...

This morning , happily started my bike and rode off BUT even before i can exit my carpark , it just died ! no neutral light , no engine died light ! crap ~~

 

Battery prob ? Fuse prob ?

Wei_an....as long as you dnt see a flash...shld be ok...seldom traffic lite camera's activated when bikes passes by....or it cld be just faulty...hehehehe

:help:

 

Open ur front seat. inside u will find 4 fuses, take out one by one to check for breakage in the fuse, and check battery connection also at the same location.

 

If all is fine, and after check ur bike still cant start, check if u got front headlights and signal, if no power to ur whole bike, one of the connection melted somewhere or wire snap due to age. If u got power, but bike still cant start maybe CDI problem.

 

only checking and changing the fuse is easy, other things spoilt better bring ur bike to a mech to check. :sweat:

just came back from SPC service centre . They say it's my ignition problem . Cause suddenly it works when the mech touch there touch there . Battery and fuse no problem .Crap .... Any idea how much to re-wire ? They say my wires are in a mess .

If you look under your ignition key switch closely, there are 2 wires running out wrapped together in black tape. Splice the tape carefully and trace the 2 wires inside.

 

There is a kink in the routing of the wires and over the years, turning of the handle bar may have wore out the wiring insulation.

 

Just need to find the point where the wire break or fray, cut it clean, re-join the 2 ends ago. Did that on my G4 last time. Saved me some $$$.

Anyone interested in Yoshimura Carbon Fiber Slip on? I's not Legal but definitely a fit for G4. It was meant for g4, used to use it last time till i sold off my bike... Intersted pm me... non serious buyers need not rply. $250 negotiable

My only worries is they practice my suggested technique and charge you for a 2nd hand ignition.

 

Make them show u your old ignition.

Bro...if u happen to know where the new Traffic Police HQ is...its ard tat area....just go one of the lorongs....u will see ASPHOON motor shop...its just next to it...its the middle lorong/lane....

this problem happen to me also... but it only cost me $10 to fix... ur ignition shouldn't be spoilt, just the wire connection tat has problem...

 

think changing a 2nd hand ignition is a bad idea... it will cost a lot more...

Btw, juz wanna noe on a general, hows' everyone FC for their gixxers bikes.

 

On average i believe it should be around 18-20km per litre.

Don't know why mine seems to consume petrol very fast. :( This full tank I traveled around 200km only. Time to synchronize my carbs?
