rear shock absorber, any one service B4? feedback?

 

i maybe getting in the factory jetting kit.. not sure of price yet, but its imported so dun expect it to be cheap, anyone interested? maybe more parties can get it abit cheaper?

 

about TPkumar question.. give me one month.. i get you an answer whether its worth it.. hahaha.. tts only if you can wait.. cuz K&T will customize mine!

i only slap on a race can for track days.

that + loads of water + necessary gears + good friends

I got one damper which i'm nt using, given by previous owner when bought the bike.

 

Nt too sure of the brand though, but turning will be a bit difficult with the damper on. Unless ur gonna be fixing it for track use.

 

no brand? daytona? cuz i only know of one brand tt fits G4.. tts daytona.. but its god d**m hard to find.. are you thinking of selling? i'm willing to be a cheap skate to accept it for free though..

hey guys.. just now on the way to work.. half way i feel something wrong.. the engine louder den usual after i shift gear.. den i stop at traffic light.. my idling rpm at 3k.. dunno why.. is it because of the carb or trottle cable ? or is it because the floor wet or drizzling?

try adjust ur idle n also maybe ur bike too hot will cause idle rpm to go up too

Hi guys would like to check with u all on behalf of my fren who just took out his gsx400. Okie anyway his model is GSX400RLX model so wat is the model of the bike is R, L or X? is there any petrol on off switch ( which is the petrol reserve switch as he can't find it:dot:)

HmM. Tink mine too. Still giving a bit of prob when starting after rainy days. Heavy rain especially. Do update me once you have got the price of changing the cables. Cheers.

Tendency of the idling going up after the bike gets too hot is normal though.

my baby refused to start this morning. After starting...... for about 20sec.... i was warming up and keeping my stuffs, it died..... from then cannot start liao. Press the starter, still can crank, but just refuse to start..... lights still got, crank still got, so can't be fuse or battery right?

 

anyone can help.......? Can't find the time to toll to bike shop........... sian..... all plans cancelled due to baby can't start.......

 

pull choke also cannot start....... is it spark plugs? or anything else? Don't have tools to check/change anything..... any kind soul can help?

no enough lubrication to your engine.. crank shaft bearing wear, cylinder sratches, dun even wear on cylinder, the mechanical logic list jus goes on.. important and is you will not have enough lubrication to your engine, so the weakest link will give way in no time.. tt should be your cylinder giving way first having uneven wear!

how did you get the aftermarket yoshi? which is better custom my stock or something like yours? is your the end can alone or in cluding the down pipe? i'd ask around only to hear nothing 4 our g4.. i also tot of finding a yoshi n custom to fit our bike.. possible? you know of any shops?

i think this problem is common among the g4s'... happen to me also, but i've got more luck den you i think.. i dunno whether the prob is the same but wat i did was to flood my carbs den keep cranking.. each crank should not last more den 6sec.. stop rest and crank again.. i works for me.. RMB to off your lights n during rest off ignition too..

for our bike, i noe of only 1 after market made with intentions for us only which is the yoshi

its only the end can, no full systems available.

maybe u can see mine for reference someday at track?

but i would advice against any mods for the time being. at least until u're used to ur ride.

 

perhaps u would like to consider upgrading things like ur brake system instead?

i changed to a new set of front brake rotors, overhauled the brake calipers, slap on nice pads and changed the brake hose. after a good bleed, it brakes fantastic!

and a must have is a good set of rubbers of coz.

no old/damaged rubberrs pls

 

used to ride a stock super 4 to track and no worries. stock can have decent performance too.

anyway... about the plug cap... i changed mine b4 to NGK-R model... abt $20 each.... better firing and more complete combustion... Red in colour... connected to the plug coil...

 

Btw... any k/ksp model out there....

 

I checked with LAB, it is $8 per piece but it is in L-shape. Not the straight type for ours...

 

I am thinking of changing the whole spark plug coil as the cables seems to be faulty. Anyone knows how much is it?

1)This is the model break down..."gsxr400r-model....LX-submodel"

2)Petrol of switch is on the left side.....its near the body frame..it has a lever tat u can turn.
