There's a shop right beside regina who duplicates keys with chip. i've just made one from there. 60 bucks for one.

problem is you have to bring your bike there for them to do it.

If im not wrong, they are able to program another chip for your key just by using your bike. Using your current "chip-less" key to make out a new key.

Drop by to make sure!

If i'm not wrong, this should be the one.

Bro, I also got myself a spec 1 in july this year. All these u mentioned are normal sign of wear n tear parts for a bike this age. Go for a overall servicing n get advise from workshop.

Vibrations or wobbling to bike can be just a few loosen nuts n bolts or like ki113r mentioned its ur bearings problem or front fork need servicing.

Had the same problem of hard to start up especially for cold start or after few days of no riding, i changed all plugs and plug cables, and its solved.

Hi all,

I dropped my key and the chip that was imbedded in your key black handle (not sure what the exact name for it) go missing without I noticing it. It was only later that I found out. The black handle with the Honda wing insignia, if thats what they call it, can actually be peel open. Inside you have slots for the HISS or immobilizer microchip. Tough luck. So guys handle your key with TLC.

Thanks to leOnng for the info. Yup beggars cannot be choosers. Reckon I have to check it out with the locksmith.

Thanks to all.

I newbie in cb 400 spec 1. I have a few problem issue with my 2nd hand bike.

1- when i front brake. My handle bar is not stable.. abit woble.

2- when riding. My footrest is vibrating alot

3- when changing gear a loud "tak" sound. Is it normal?

Any advice to improve my bike so it as. Stable n less vibrate? Such as handle bar balancer etc

HI Bro,

Regarding to your front part wobbly , check your cone bearing. Normally when the cone bearing worn out , there will instability while cornering. You can check on this issue by holding onto the front tyre between your leg gap & try move your handle bar left to right or right to left.if there is some shakiness, for sure must check the cone bearing.

When you say got problem while braking, check the rotors or so called the brake disc. They might got warp. Which gives uneven breaking pressure on to the wheels.

For starting part which take some time, as other forumers say, pls check your plugs, wiring, and your battery too. Coz most of the second hand bikes not sure when the last time battery has been changed.

Gear changing part, should be quite smooth, unless and untill its damn loud. try checking the cluth plates, both the wooden & steel ones.

Hey mate, your front brake pads are busted... Time to change new brake pads and service your brake calipers. As for the ignition problems, it might be due to old battery with not much power left, so u can change the battery too. As for changing gear loud "tak" sound, it means that u aren't fully clutched in when changing gears, that's all... Clutch plates MIGHT need to be changed, or clutch cable MIGHT need to be changed or just clutch lever settings MIGHT not to be changed... I say MIGHT need to be changed because I haven't seen your bike, but from your description of the problems, those I listed are mostly the causes of the problems...

So, front brake pads, battery and clutch... Main causes... Check out what your mechanic says...

Check your starter switch. Symptom of loose or burnt out starter ignition switch if that's what it's called. Mine totally charred and whole bike no sound at all.

Either it's battery weak, or connection problem, or both. But u said that u had to tilt the handlebar to one side then it can start, so most probably it's connection problem with the switch...

Lol I not owner la. My ride is a Spec 3. I did a search of the number plate on OneMotoring. :cheeky:

Anyway, I don't think the owner can park a "lay up" vehicle over there. LTA is supposed to compound the vehicle.

Possible if that add is declared as the vehicle lay up add.. if LTA were to compound every laid up bike, they'll need a mscp at sin ming heh..

hi guys, New s4 rider here with some questions.

1) where can i get the side fairing/engine shroud for s4? Is it compatible with spec 1?

2) Should my signal lights always be on, as in both sides are running all the time? I noticed other S4s having this but mine doesnt.. or is it just some versions?

Hi guys, 2 days ago I took apart my headlight to fix the screw holding the headlight, simple step however after that I switched on my bike, nothing came on, IU not working, no lights, ignition doesn't work, basically the whole electrical system is down. Tried push starting, doesn't work too. Can't be battery cause I was riding the bike 30mins before, it should still contain decent amt of charge. Suspecting is the main fuse blow. Anyone got other ideas on what's happening? And anyone knows how many amps main fuse is?
