When riding on any motorbike, without fail, I put on,

1. My fav helmet : RamIII

2. Riding padded jacket

3. Leather gloves

4. Army boots . . .lol

some of my friends thinks im crazy.. putting on so much gear. until one of them got into a bike accident...

Nah not crazy, it is called prepared.

I got also my fair share of sniggers but i would proudly say i am kiasee la.

oh, looking for water proof armor jacket leh, any place cheap to recommended? online got some cheap n gd one but if ship here all the cost not worth it liao...

Got to say that FF does have its uses! Had a skid yesterday and my chin area did slam onto the ground. The FF helmet (along with my armoured jacket and gloves) prevented a trip to the hospital as I managed to stand up with no injuries at all.

Armour might not save your life in a high-speed head-on collision but I believe it can make a difference whether you have a fatal accident or a mildly serious one. Also, it prevents injuries that are completely unnecessary such as road rash. Ride safe guys!

The one i used to wear, the yellow one, is a water proof armor jacket. It has it's Pros and Cons but i would say it is affordable and does protect u.

Next time when we meet i can tell u all about it.

sure good to have protection when riding... in cold countries i think any riders would not hesitate to wear jackets and stuff coz it can protect you and also keep you warm.

but here in singapore... the weather makes people wear shorts and slippers..

hi pepole

Jacket - you could spend a zillion dollars on that stuff or if you've learned some shopping skills from the girls... get some decent stuff at $40-80 bucks at Mustafa centre. Last I checked they even had special armoured jackets for bikers at around 70-80 bucks.

As for gloves I don't like the fact that I can't get proper waterproof gloves unless I spend capital equivalent to a hundred plates of chicken rice so.... I like those black rubber industrial long gloves you can get for $2 :D

I don't intend to ride at 150kph and crash into cars and stuff, so I skip those armoured stuff - considering Singapore weather I want my stuff disposable and replaceable in the blink of an eye.

Helmet - Motoworld is a great shop for trade ins. Get a cheap, even discarded helmet to trade in for a $100 fullface :D

we all have our reasons with our choice of wear when riding...

just wanna paint a scenario, even a cyclist cycling at a speed of 30km/h, in an event of an accident, whether caused by self or others, he/she is still very much vulnerable in suffering horrible and painful injuries.

translate that scenario to a motorcyclist riding at speeds above 50km/h, the contrasting different traffic situation a cyclist and a motorcyclist faces.

you get my point.
