hii guys , im quite interested in nsr 250 but im still long from getting 2a licence .. so wanted to know more abt nsr 250 .. some pple call it pgm ? is there many series of nsr 250 ? and its a 2 stroke bike right ? where can i find good condition of this bike ? and does the spare parts rare ??

 

Anyone can share ur views abt nsr 250 compared to rvf and cbr 400 ?? thx =D

This thread and nsr world has ample info bro:)..normal spares is not too bad to get, its a totally different type of feel from rvf and cbr etc:thumb:.

Hi KW, people call it PGM is because on every NSR250 there's a PGM stated at the tail fairing, eq PGM 2, PGM 3 , PGM4, something like SP, its NSR150SP, but on the tail fairing it states SP, so peeps jus call it short SP .

 

as for series of PGM,

Currently there are only 3 types in singapore..

 

PGM 2 MC 18

PGM 3 MC 21

PGM 4 MC 28

 

Comparism to RVF and CBR depends on the rider to be specific..

people who like certain bike would definately feel that its better than the rest..

 

Four-Stroke.

CBR - Inline 4 great for holding on to top speeds

RVF - V4 Better Pick up "nice exhaust sound" but heaviest among all 2a

 

Two-Stroke

PGM - 90'' V-Twin "known for its pick up" lightweight. 2T required..

each model has SP SE and R versions, jus to simplify lazy to say them all,

 

rec whch .. hmm most people go for MC28 , PRO-ARM + Card Key.

MC21 is slightly lighter , yup

-No need expensive-hard to find-card to deristrict.

-Cheeeaap to duplicate key.

-Smaller n nicer silencer. (pgm4 standard pipe sound really weak)

-foldable pillion footrest.

No error2.

-Pillion pad hole on the tail look more natural.

-key can use on other bike. Haha.

 

Anyway pgm4 head fairing is nicer.

Sunday i at marsiling blk 4, then go bke on my rothman tho. Fj pgm3 dryclutch.

I using ohlin rear. Got it with the bike. Never rode with std shock so dunno the diff.

Intend to bring down to agent to check/set up.

As last tym a so called suspension specialist set it up lousily and i need to adjust myself to make it better, but want advice from agent if can improve further.

i did service+setting.

200-300.

They say they use to race pgm blah2 but when i do even small corner scrap stand aredi.

 

When i come back the person like unhappy and wont increase the preload too much say later too bumpy, back hurt blah2.

 

In the end set myself with help from some frens better sia.

No bumpy and my back no hurting.

I think can increase sumore.
