"Gaming Consoles" sub-forum. Good idea to create one?

Good evening Techies and Geek Bikers,

 

After sifting through this I.T.inerary forum and taking down some statistics on the type of IT related posts that people make, I have thought about creating a space for people to post stuff related to video games and gaming consoles.

 

To define what I mean, here are some examples of the collection of posts that should be housed together:

 

1. Video games

2. Portable-size gaming consoles (Sony PSP, Nintendo DS)

3. Gaming consoles (Sony Playstation, Microsoft XBOX, Nintendo Wii)

 

All of these will be grouped into a "space" -- essentially a sub-forum within the I.T.inerary forum.

 

I've created a voting poll above for you to cast your votes on whether we should have it or not.

Sounds like this is a viable point there, J.

 

The reason why I bought this up is because a few months back I see a number of posts -- once every week or two on average -- related to PSPs, gaming consoles, and thought about what we could do to collate them and bunch em into one place.

 

I've observed that people are proactively using this forum to post techie stuff such as gaming consoles, and even next-gen smartphones such as iPhone apps. This is because this forum is named the I.T. forum and because I.T. means anything technology, members usually make this forum their first stop when they want to post something.

 

I'm usually ok with the above-mentioned, no issues; if posts need to be moved to another place in SBF, I'll do so, also leaving a temporary redirect link from where the thread was originally created from.

 

But for now, because not many have responded to this poll or are not sure -- in fact I was contemplating a sticky for these kinds of things for the time being. When it grows, these kinds of posts probably needs a home; maybe in another forum just like you've described.

It will be good also to have a "gamers" sales thread where it can consolidates all items for sale or trade that are related to gaming.

Can't vote on tapatalk but I vote good idea to create one.

 

As I too wanna buy Ps3 games. Maybe more of a trade. As normally I would play the game. Finish the game the the cd collect dust.

 

But if only ppl are trading rather then selling. If sell also cheaper then shops.

i do play games on my ps3 quite often though mostly football games (winningeleven!) which basically theres no ending point but other games like my uncharted series, gta series n a few others which i cant recall at tis moment are colllecting dust in my room...would be great if i can trade them here for old games ive yet to play or even sell them off cheap cheap!
