Need some help here regarding the 3 bikes.

 

frm what i know is that Shadow is chain drive, the rest is shaft drive.

How is the fuel consumption n maintance, spares for the 3?

not sure about the dragstar and boulevard..

i m riding honda shadow ace 400cc.. i m getting 22-24km/l

parts are quite easy to get...

my dragstar's going at 22-24km/hr as well. it depends on your riding style and road conditions. but generally the mentioned 400cc bikes have good petrol consumption.

 

spare parts for dragstars are pretty easy but may not be as cheap as those under 400cc bikes. low maintenance too.

happpen to c a jap site stating shadow400 can go 30+ km/L was har!!!!

but look closely, was saying travel @60km/h.... was har again... at that spd think ppl will horn till the battery flat liao if travel at expressway.... whahaahah.

Maybe its refering to the fuel-injected shadow. Not available in Singapore.

These 3 bikes that u have mentioned are all very easy to maintain, easy to get spare parts and mileage almost abt the same.

 

But when u say parts, do u mean parts to mod or simple wear and tear parts?

 

Currently, only a few shops ard do carry mod parts for Shadow n Dragstar. As for Boulevard, I not sure.. there are not much bros ard in the forum that owns one. But I do know of someone who will be getting one very very soon.. Can only give reviews after he starts up his virgin bike. As of what I have heard, he did mentioned that Boulevard can do ard 36km/litre. Amazing isn't it. But to what i feel, its all sums down to the way u ride and the petrol that u pump in.

How about the top speed for this 3 bikes??

 

I'm thinking of getting either bike after i get my 2a. I ridding a phantom TA200 which only get me to top speed 130kph.

Dude.. Either of the bikes you are aiming for is in the line of cruisers. In Singapore, not many roads allow us to even hit above 100.

 

So chill alittle on the speed. No hard feelings I hope, jus want all to ride safe and know we are safe ard other good riders on the road.

 

There is not much limits to a 400cc bike as long as u have the guts to twist the throttle on and on..

well, that's is quite true, license hard to get but easy to lose.

wannna speed can try follow behind TP lor... think he cannot say u speed as he also speed...wahaha.

 

anyway back to reality, Can the milage display on the bike be tamper with? for example got ppl make it look low milage so easy to sell of the bike? for analog one i think can be done(which i think only a BastXXD do tat lah...) but how abt digital one?

anyway.. my shadow speedo shows 160km/hr at max..

i have done above 150km/hr close to 155km/hr.. but not comfortable at that speed, vibration starts to kick in...

my shadow can cruise very comfortably at ard 90-120km/hr

 

cruisers... ride cool.. not ride fast!

will send to chong shop to check up the bike. hope will not burnt a hole in pocket.

 

1) any bros here can advise on where to get good quality paint job on bike (one colour)?

or can get those car shop to do the painting as think the same is it?

2) any shops recommend for doing chrome n saddles bags n such?

If you just got your bike and it wasn't used for some time better go through a quick check at your favourite mechanic - all nuts & bolts, chain drive, preferably change gear oil, engine oil, filter etc and then you should have a good feel of the bike. Enjoy your ride.

As the bike is better now than b4 wash carb.

but was hard to hit 100 as frm forum this bike can hit 100+ easily.

Hmm may i suggest u tune ur engine after u wash ur carb...
