To Ride or To Drive?

that's really comforting to hear, hahaha! cause i wanna strive for the Aprilia dorsoduro 750. the seat height is 870mm for that right? heard the drz400 higher than that. motards are the only reason i'm taking my license! will do anything to grow a bit taller.

i'm only 163cm n awaiting for my dorsoduro.....if everything goes well, should be out by wed....

Cheerssss!!!!

dude as in other forums, i am 163, i rode drz no problem.

riding dorso now. no problem also.

dun worry so much, get on the bike and whack away.

if u want u can lower the drz for 1 week to get used to the handling. den raise it up again and shoot away.

im about 1.62m riding drz. no problems, can still tiptoe on both feet.. Never bothered to lower the bike.. all just a matter of getting used to.I believe there are shorter people riding motards and even taller dirtbikes with little problems.

Only thing is I can't reverse the bike up a slope on the bike =X heh

COMEBACK KID was awesome!!!

i 1.71 still need to tip toe if i sit nearer to the tank. sit at the centre part still ok, with weight, the suspension will compress and enables the rider's feet to touch the ground

I am 185 and I have problem with a stock DRZ400

Not trying to be funny. Think the problem is I too used to scooters and low bikes. Although my feet can be flat on the ground. I just feel funny when my knees are not bend while feet is flat on ground.

I understand all these can be get used to.

But the most major problem will be my back.

The last round. I just try sitting on a friend's DRZ. I have no problem mounting up. But coming down the bike got problem. Need another friend's help just to get off the bike. My back and leps just can't bend enough to get down. Maybe age is really catching up :cheeky:

Not being funny or what. Just sharing.

ahakz.. maybe u shud tilt da bike a little to da left before u dismount.. works fer me though.. afterall.. drz is not as heavy as other cl2a road/sportbikes.. so da weight is still manageable eventhough da bike is tilted slightly..

or another way is to kick da sidestand 1st.. den u dismount.. also much more easier if u fear ur bike topplin down when dismounting.. ;)

Koubalinks made lowering links for DRZ in 3 different height..

there u go! lower ur ride the proper way!

the links can give ur bike a lower ride height.

you can lower seat height by thinning the seats.. best not too much adjusting on the parts

you will be sacrificing comfort for the height.. PI seats are already very thin to start off with..

if you need serious lowering of ride height, lowering links are the best and most efficient with minimal ill side effects..

It's not the height mates, it's the balls and passion~! If petite girls can do it, i see no two ways around it. =)
