Hi to every one...

It's been a long time since I last posted...

I'm planning a trip up north to HatYai this coming Nov 09... Looking at 3days 2 nights...

The dates could be co-ordinated... So... should any one be interested... please drop a post... or PM me your number...

Oh.. btw.... I'm riding a Spark...

Cheers!

wah.. how long to get up there with spark?

As my fuel tank is small and with many fuel stops.. and a constant speed of 90 - 100km/hr... It should take about 14hrs or so...:cheeky:

My HP GPS only leads to the Thai border, there a shop behind "Tar_lah_Sue" that sells KUPs parts... I use to buy my stocks from there...

Care to join me for the ride?

If one take coach from SG up to Hatyai also around 14 hrs or less... Grassland selling a seat for $50 during off-peak season. ;)

When you have more power, you'll have great responsibility! It is a thin line between mission complete and game over!

Yap... I've been riding up north on superbikes & tourers since 10 over years ago (1995...)

So... with insurance hotting high notes$$ since year 2000... Down graded to a Kup and haven't look back since!

A KUP is great locally with low cost of Maintenance and low fuel consumption. In fact, because most kups sold locally that are made in Thailand. Which makes its the ideal bike to travel around Malaysia.... where should it breakdown... even a kampong workshop could easily get you back on the road.... :)

I've been shelving off this idea of riding off up north for the pass 3 years due to work and family... but for this year... I would love to have it done...

Even my wife is currently considering to join me for the trip (provided I re_do the seat  )... crazy right? Two old folks... riding up north...

The issue here is not WHY? but WHY NOT?:thumb:

So you are game for it.. do drop me a PM or leave a post...

Cheers!

I need to clear my leave and till date I'm still shopping around for Kar_kis... Burget wise...appox $500 would be very comfortable for Fuel + Hotel (Regent Hotel) + makan + Buying little bits of souvenoirs... not including bike parts of course....:cheeky:

For bikers who are interested in joining me for the trip.. it'll be better if we could come out for coffee 1st and get to know each other better before the trip... At least.. I need to know your level of experience in riding... especially on the north south highway....

pls gimme a PM when the date to meetup for coffee to discuss the trip details. :) .. cheers

hanwen/93873674/spark135/furthest only rode up to kukup once

after the breakdown of costs from bro stoner, i arrived at the following costs:

given my fc of abt 45km/litre:

fuel $ = 1.98 x (2500/45) = RM110 = SGD46 (abt 2500km)

hotel $ = $35 x 2 nights = SGD70 (twin sharing)

Makan $ = $50 x 3 days = SGD150 (makan shiok shiok)

Total $ = SGD266 (smokers add in ur own costs :cheeky:)

hope it helps!

I think Jalan Kayu....would be great... the Prata Shop which is next to the big Carpark would be a great place for Coffee and add mass to my already over weight body...

So....

Venue: *Last Prata Coffee shop (Next to the big carpark)

Date: This coming Friday, 23th Oct 09

Time: 7pm

Attendee:

1. Stoner (9456 1515) / Fat Old Broke... You can't miss me....:cheeky:

2.

3.

4.

5.

Do join me... for coffee... if you ride a Class 2A it's also all right...as I co_own a S4~V3...
