Buying a Suzuki V-Strom

I'm looking to buy a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 here in Singapore but have one question: HOW??

 

There don't appear to be any V-Stroms listed anywhere on line (the single 2002 model doesn't interest me) and the reply to my written and verbal requests to a number of dealers has so far been "sorry, no stock".

 

I finally got Guan Hoe Cheong Trading to get me a quote and am currently waiting (second day). I am nervous about the quote they're going to give me. In Australia (home country) the 1000 is going for $15,000-17,000 (inclusive, on-road). I expect it to be more than that here but does anyone have any ideas or know any good (ie no rip-off) dealers?

I believe there is no more new stock for DL1000, if u ever consider 650...u can check loois motor....they have a few stock there at the moment. and if u dont mind 2nd hand, they might have the DL1k too...

Loois motor in kaki bukit is bringing in the 2009 model v-storm 1k next mth at the price of 23k on the road

I'm looking for a "high seated" (ie 850mm) sports/cruiser that doesn't cost the exorbitant amount charged for the "German" stuff.
