overall $ spent for rxz or phantom

hi.. im wondering which of these 2nd hand bike will be cheaper after adding up the following $ concerned stuff for about 2yrs. lets say compare a RXZ and a TA200... having problems finding something cheap for me overall, not just the start, but till the very end...

 

RXZ

machine price: 800-1k ?

insurance(21yo new rider): $???

maintenance /mth(servicing, 2t): $??

petrol for abt 20km per day: $??

how often to pump if travel 20km per day: ?days

avg $ spent per mth:

 

TA200

machine price: 1k - 1.8k ?

machine price: $1k - $1.8k

insurance: +/- $600

maintanence / month (assuming 20km X 30 days): $15

petrol (20km): $1

average cost per month: $62

 

[Zhi Ming]

TA200

machine price: 1450 (5th hand)

insurance(22yo new rider): $520 - 550 ( cant remember exact)

maintenance /mth(servicing): $7 , ( EO and sparkplug cost $14 per 2 months)

petrol for abt 20km per day: $0.9 rinngit , 1L @ 1.80 ringgit ( FC 44km/l , if u ride 60-80km/hr only, if speed above 100 , expect FC to be mid 30s)

how often to pump if travel 20km per day: 3 weeks lol ( my full tank last me 460++km, about 2 weeks cause i ride 30km/day)

 

FIXED $ spent per mth: 40 ringgit (16/17 SGD) + $15 season parking + $5 ERP /parking coupons + $7 maintenance = $44

 

dont forget about road tax $64/yr and repairs for old bikes ~ $200-300/yr.

 

compared to public transport , phantom is quite a good alternative for relaxed commuting.

if u doll it up a little, it wont look uncle anymore..

 

it isnt really that much harder to turn.. just need to get used to it.
