Your insights appreciated.

Just wondering what is the maximum distance any cubs have ever went on fully synthetic 10w40 engine oil. 2500km? 5000km?! 8000km?!?!

coz from this thread, and from what i gathered from my class 2a/ 2 frens, their fully synthetic eo can last easily 5000km.

is it coz they use more eo (some 3 litres or more)? or those riding 2b bikes kenna carrot?

I dont think its because of the amount of eo in the engine.. it performs the best up till 4000km.. after that it deteriorates.. i even used for 4 months, mechanic opened the nut, left about less than 100ml.. wahhaa.. just my 2cents =)

so far I'll change every 3000km, but I check through older thread some recommend 5000km. There's once I go slightly higher than 3000km, I can feel some difference when I throttle.

my fren actually rode his spark for 2 years plus, never change his eo once, but coz he dun run much, 6km/day if he use it to travel to work (he's driving company's vehicle). end up in that 2 years he ran to 5000++km.

 update on the topic. i tried going 2900km w/o eo change, and i think the eo no problem, juz that it was drying up/ getting eaten away...

To ensure nv dry up:

1) Let bike cool down for long enough (some say 2 hr, some say 30mins)

2) Take out dipstick

3) Use cloth wipe dip stick

4) Dip dip stick in - Dun screw back in, JUST dip and out

5) if touching bottom limit line, top up, else, bo hui.

good luck.

mine runs with x-rev fully synthetic, hmmm normally ill change every 1500km... cause i find that it will start to deteriorate fast after that...

and every oil change ill add 50-100ml more to the recommended amount. just to make up for the loss amount in the later stages, e.g. late engine oil change.

i change every 500-700km using only motul 300v to keep my big bore set healthy. after 700km u can really feel the roughness in the engine running. plus my i whack my kup hard and fast too. depends much on your riding style too..

Getting your licenses revoked is much more painful than dying.Don't drink and drive.:thumb:

actually big bike usually around 8000 de i dunno y ( maybe because use more engine oil)

We actually very wasteful for changing EO every 1k-2k because new tech change EO that can last longer and changing every 1-2k or 5-6k is a very old skool mindset pass down by people. U also right because when gear is hard to shift also indicate EO become thin le :)
