actually big bike usually around 8000 de i dunno y ( maybe because use more engine oil)

Agreed.

For example S4 Revo OCI is at 12000km, If I'm not wrong.

But I reckon its not because of more eo, but I suppose 400cc and above don't "eat" the eo.

We actually very wasteful for changing EO every 1k-2k because new tech change EO that can last longer and changing every 1-2k or 5-6k is a very old skool mindset pass down by people.

Agree, too.

But... cubs tend to "eat" the eo - lesser eo, lesser protection.

Just my $0.02

Goodee hor hot goodee... Mat witz sebastian! :p

With regards to oil change, I personnally know a few people who do not change their engine oil at all and had been running their kups for more than 10 years by just topping up their engine oil without any engine problems. Makes me wonder why are we so kan chiong about engine oil changes in kups?:cheeky:

1994 - Yamaha TW200

1995 - Piaggio Skipper 125

1997 - Honda Steed VCL 400

2006 - Yamaha YP250 5GM

2007 - Honda ST1100X (STOC#7138)

2013 - Honda Wave 125 R

Is a market strategy ;) actually alot stuff we still can use just that company want us to keep buying their product by making a guideline. I personally wont recommend by topping up engine oil too >

Hmm should be able to coz one of the shop here sell motul 7100 one for $20, 2 for $36 and i think is quite a good deal =D i usually change my engine oil from range 2500-3000 depending my gear shifting and free time. So for me is like 2month one EO change, I really want to try motul 7100 but it seem like is 300v downgraded like this :0

just my 2 cents

Kubs run a 800ml-1l shared sump between gears and engine thus, it is rougher on the oil than a bike with a bigger sump.

The sym magic 115r manual reccomends 1000km between changes!

I myself during my greenhorn days and others alike have ever ran it tilll left less than 200ml and it still runs fine even over 100km/hr.

Some never bother to even check after years of use.

You can even run vegetable oil and it will still go as circulated in youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_bsRsQNgEY.

If your engine oil levels are fine, you can push the limits on your change intervals. Perhaps the most just slightly rough running.

Some of us likes our bike to run at 100% thus every things matters which explains the expensive investments in oils.

For those who are keen to know more, please read up on oils.

Its not just about mineral or synthetic its about the technology behind the oils that plays a big role too.

Eg it depends on the ratio and whether the synthetic oil is group 3(which means highly mineral oil) or ester based(animal fat).

I'm using unclube $3 EO from LAB for my x1. Changed every 2000km or monthly. Been using it for one year. Can feel the gear change getting rougher ard 1500km.

Previously, I used $7 ELF. Its much more smoother. Might be going back to elf. Anybody has recommendation for EO within the price range of $3-$7 to intro...
