beside platinum shopping mall, is there any other mall good for guy shopping?

if you're looking for high-end brands, you can try terminal 21 and siam paragon. If looking for something similar to bugis, you can try MBK. Forget about chatuchak market, their items are more expensive as compared to MBK wherein you're shielded from the drenching hot weather.

Chatuchak market is cheaper if you bargain.

Stall holders will up their prices much much higher so that they don't make losses in case tourists bargain down the price .

If you do not bargain, then yes the prices stated are more expensive than those at MBK.

So never never never take the first price offered.... :nono:

For cheap food, go look for their Sushi buffet at "Sabu Sabu" cheap and good. If I remembered correctly it's $12 Singapore dollars per person when converted back to SGD. :hungry:

If you don't mind the hot weather, go eat at the roadside stalls. (at your own risk lah)

For bike parts try asking the locals bike taxi uncles to bring you there. I did that the last time I went there. It's somewhere near China town.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.
