i think its the same for all bikes no matter the make.. doesnt means ducati = higher maintainence. if u love ur bike even if its a 99 R1 u will also spend thousands to maintain it... dunno who come up with this theory...

1198sp, COE increase, not 54k liao.

After your purchase, will need to change to termi + +

easily 60k.

i envy you Tik for being so brave and following your heart without any remorse =P

Sorry this is just Random.. and i know that i have asked you guys many question already..

however i just wanted to know - was it a hard decision on purchasing your bikes??? cause i somehow find it really hard and have been think about getting one for almost a year now...

At first it was about the License and was worried if i would get the full conversion (as i am Malaysian) and once i got it...it was then the Gf, not happy about it cause buying a bike is a waste money and dangerous (as i should be saving for a house).. then now is how much down payment should i put down (which i planning 25%)..

Financial its not really a burden...but its a additional commitment to take on... maybe that's why i finding it so hard to commit....Stress

all in all i just Love Super bikes and the freedom of moving around town with my own transport (still a cheaper option then getting a car) and the occasional rides back to KL, instead of the constants used of public transports...

Plus i would never get to own a Super Bike in Malaysia, its just too expensive.... a second hand R1 could be selling from RM 50-60K with a minimum down payment of 30%

just wondering what's on your minds before you purchase? i know that many of you are rather financial sound =)

Hello R1ders! Me seeking advise from R1 experts. I'm thinking of getting an 04 R1 that comes with gpr thunderline exhaust. It's selling for 12.8k. Obviously condition look gd superficially but I'd still expect some occasional problems with the bike few mths down the road despite shop claiming low mileage. My concern is for that price, mods n since it's an 04 model, wld it be worth it? Is that an ok price? Think i shd ask if exhaust got street legal cert from LTA right? Anything else i shd be mindful of? COE till 2015. Appreciate any replies. Thanks in advance! :)
