Did you change the filter yourself or your bikeshop did it? Filter change can cause leaner mixture but won't make your bike sound sissy.... most likely something is not assembled back properly.

 

don think changing air filter will make ur bike sound kuniang leiz:cheeky:

any way 1 plug faulty still can be ridden..cus we have 4

 

it was the filter guys.. like what max said, bike runs leaner, AFR went haywire thus the low idling which make the bike sounded like kuniang, throw in pc5 then ok liao.. gained 9+hp.. with akra slip ons + y and bmc race.. btw the freaking r1 09-10 spark plugs cost $40 per piece from hkl ordered frm Hong Leong, bloody special plugs, its ngk and its not even iridium..

plz get the street legal termignoni frm racewerks if u intend to get an aftermaket exhaust... slip ons 2k+... drooling :cheeky:

Akra slip ons + titanium y (no s.steel)... is $2.9k

leo vince slips + SS y.. shb be ard $2.4k - $2.5

r1 09 is using NGK/ LMAR9E-j gap 0.6 - 0.7 mm any different from previous model?

all i can say is yes different from all bikes.. no shops carrying this model spark plug or similar to it.. only agent brings the model in..

Next time better record a video and post on youtube. Hard to understand how the Kuniang sound like... :cheeky:

Er, dont think you can do that as different current rating. You might get your bike starter burnt out ba.

B4, u buy..

I presume u r riding R1 09-10.. have u change ur exhaust? slip ons only or with y/fullsystem? Bcoz once u get a race filter which allows more airflow ur AFR will go haywire after sometime.. which make ur bike run lean.. This is wat happen to my AFR running more than 14.. So i need to fix PC5 or go back to normal filter/non race..

 

So..

 

If u dun intend not to waste on PC5.. i would say a normal bmc filter.
