Price diff around $500.. Current fz1n otr is around 20-21k depending on ur insurance.

what is the normal degrees for temperature on gen 2 FZ1? is 95 to 108 degrees normal when travelling on expressway? but seems really hot when going thru a jam....as compared to gen 1 Fazer.

Expressway will get around 90 deg for me. 103 max during traffic jam. The engine is really really hot, cannot wear shorts to ride...

bro, how come urn temp so high on...on xpressway riding for 90-100km/h, temp for me is arnd 82 deg...only when jam or slow moving then the temp can shoot up till 103....

Pardon me if a similar qns had been asked. Thought of getting a new FZ1. How much will it cost otr?. Scrapped the idea of getting REVO as it cost 15-16k on the road whereas FZ6 is only 12/8 otr. How much would an after-market full-system exhaust cost also? Please advice..

Still running in my FZ1S ABS 2009 model. Bought it 3 weeks ago at $19.6K not including $1.3K comprehensive insurance. Without ABS should be $19K. FZ1N should be $18.6K. Was told price for Yamaha bikes increased dratiscally since second quater of this year, cos Jap Yens increased.

 

I have also installed mine with a GIVI E52, V35 panniers, back rest & all mounting bracktes for $1.4K. Unless someone get even better price then me.

 

Dislike about this bike, it is a petrol sucker, engine very hot, chain driven & pillion foot rest too high.

The engine can be very very hot during slow traffic, it can hit up to 103c easily. Even my pillion commented very hot. Will changing a better coolent helps? Can anyone advise.

 

I thought of installing a Rifle tall screen, anybody has one on his bike?

depends on where u go, wat EO u using, and how much the shop charges u for workmanship. ^_^

 

if u are talking about goin to dealer, u shud be able to get the coupon and get free labour for ur first EO, but they will still charge u for ur EO and filter and carb.

hi. do u guys encounter engine cut off by itself while ridding ? im sure that its not the power cut as i was picking up then the engine just dying off.

This has happened to me last year due to a kinked fuel hose.

You need to cut the cover before you can see it is kinked.
