hi, does anyone knw where I can get pirelli semi slick tyres for mito in singapore. I know in the pirelli website, there are size for mito, however, it is hard to find a shop in singapore that sells pirelli tyres unused about 3months to 5mths old. Younger the tyres, the better it is for me. thats my preference to purchase.

I have tried Alpha 10 on my bike but i din like it. i find it its kinda still slippery on the white lines when its raining compare to Gpr70.

Aim is Tame mito 500cc 2 stroke! What seems impossible is always possible (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

i'm using sportec M1.. i find it slippery during rainy days.. is it me or is it the tire? Heard a lot of good comments about it and bought it. But somehow my rear tire skidded quite a number of times already..

Practical Test Checklist:

√ Sudden and late braking

√ Faulty signal lights

√ Superb use of horn

√ Assume road belongs to father

√ Never at fault no matter what happens

√ Tailgating confidence

Result: YES! You qualify to become a Singapore car driver!

michelin pilot power

fyi one of ma fren buang at pg on his 954, the other guy is my friends buddy also on pp2ct buang at pg.

last month ma fren buang at mersing during rainy weather on his pilot power 2ct. but he is a fast rider btw.

Super Corsa meant more for dry weather due to its tire groove, it does its work to channel the water but not as gd as road tires. corsa 3 is a gd choice since ur occasional track riding. anyway track tires needs to warm up longer then normal tires before u can negotiate a "low corner" and they have certain number of heat cycle.

bro do you mind explaining about this heat-cycle issue? im currently on pilot powers and you are scaring me.. lol.. cos so far its been so good. takes street corners really well.

hi guys, would like to ask regarding these few tyres as it seems they are about the same price. sportbike for size 120 front and 180 rear...just for road use...

as they are all good tyres...which tyre gives the best mileage? thanks

Bro, maybe u can see this thread:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202224

Btw, wat bike u riding?

Juz flipped thru the my old issues of BIKE, the reviewer state Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Metzeler sportec M3 should have longer tyre life. Meant for sportsbike.

i would choose Dunlop Qualifier, BT014 and sport attack , last Metzler M1

strongly suggest u to try Qualifier, its very competitve price and relatively newer tyre than the rest.

hi

any recommendations for

bike: s4 vtec tyres (set, front and rear)

usage: commuting locally. no track, very unlikely (practically no) touring.

budget: $250-350, including workmanship

concern: wet road conditions, i have alot of fear when road is wet, esp when taking turns.

ps: i think this is a good template for pple who is asking for recommendations.. hehe..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

my previous bike was spark.

as i was using my spark, i used IRC Wings (Gold Series).

The thread lasts longer at least 7 mths to 8 mths. Depends on the temperature of the road & the weight of the pillion...heheh!

any s4 using pilot power? a mech tell me its for track and its not durable. very fast will finish the tread. true?

Pilot Power is probably the best tyre for road with the occasional track day use.

Mine are probably facing more track than road use but the grip from these tyres are great and they last pretty long when compared to the other 'softer' compound tyres. And for the weight of an S4.. these tyres would do very well on the tracks too... definitely better than the Dunlops 208s and BT014s... which really suck big time on the tracks.

I have personally seen too many people crash due to lowsides for no apparent reason other than suspected overheating of these 2 tyres.

Unless you are one of those who ride like Rossi everytime you hit the tracks.. its pointless getting those high end DOT race approved type of tyres. You would be just wasting the good rubber compound on a public road.

Most of us don't even push or cannot even push the stock low priced tyres to their limits.

But..... if you rich enough and got money to throw............thats another story.
