Accident involving two of our riders on the way back after the hot spring in Yong Peng. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Just cuts and bruisers. But their bikes were smashed. I wish them a speedy recovery. Thank you Razali and Kamal for doing so much for them when things looked so bleak. You two are the best! Responsible and reliable to the end. Even volunteering to go back to JB to meet the two victims and bring their things to them and pillion them from JB hospital to Singapore. I really take my hat off to you guys. You have my deepest respect. Even Ruth offered to drive them back from JB with her car. You really see a person's true colors when the chips are down. I have nothing but respect for the three of you. If there is anything I can also do for the two victims of the accident, do let me know. You have my number.

 

speedy recovery for the victims. Do update for any assistance required. Godspeed once again.

There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the NSH around 10km from Tuas in the direction heading towards Singapore close to midnight. We were on our way back from a day of hot spring and makan in Yong Peng. The road was not lighted and it was very dark. The R6 and K7 saw the car and truck in the middle of the road too late and tried to brake but skidded and rammed into them. Luckily for the two, they were wearing protection gear and they walked away with only minor cuts and bruises. No fractures or anything serious. Unfortunately, their bike was smashed up pretty bad and pieces of both bikes were all over the road. I learned from Razali that their parents came to pick them up from the hospital in JB where they were sent for examination. Everything is ok now.

 

P.s. I also learned later that one of the bikers who helped to keep the victims helmet had another incident. He went to the oil pump to get gas and while he was inside making payment, somebody stole the Arai helmet and tried to get away on his kup chai. One group of Singaporean bikers nearby saw the incident and hammered the thief. After returning the helmet, the group split cos they don't want any escalation of the incident. Just wanna say 'Thanks!' to the group who did the public spirited thing and got the stolen helmet back. As for the thief, I think he got what he deserved. Alls well that ends well.

as long as both of them are safely back in sg, thats the most impt. anyway, i believe this is an unforeseen circumstance and the riding gears definitely saves the day.

but a crashed helmet should never be reused.
