If you have a fan :3

For aircooled engines on naked /classic cruiser type bikes overheating is pretty obvious. You can sort of feel the motor losing efficiency.

Extreme situations? Continue to abuse the motor in high speed, high temperature situations and if its not equipped to deal with such, siezure. Been there done that lol. Should not happen to your big, bad 2A or 2 machines because you don't spend as much time in redline than 2Bs who have to more or less max out in order to reach 120-140 stock.

OTR I have much more issues with overheating when idling these days. Hate traffic jams... or even having conversations at the side of the road when others have been told I couldn't start the motor back up if I do kill it. In that case rider also overheat when idle lmao.

To answer the TS - no.

Does your engine explode when you start it up in a cold morning and rev away to oblivion?

Premature wear due to cold oil not being able to flow to lube everything yes. Destruction no.

Bike engines tend to be so heavily engineered anyway, just use and enjoy.
