i love those hamster babies, I always likened them to peanuts with legs! sooo cute!!

 

Don't forget to pamper the mama hamster with cottage cheese, bread soaked in milk, cooked eggs, etc....

yap.. did tat.. so cute~ when u see them lol.. 2 mamas looking after 7 babies.. then they take turns on breast feedings.. and teaching those babies.. how to bath in sand and climb etc etc.. damn cute sia..

from my experience.. females cant live together when they grow older.. esp when they r not together since birth...

 

females become worse esp when they have been introduced a male or during/after pregnancy...

 

some males i can mix them together even though they dun grow up together n they dun fight.. but i've yet to try mating one of the male and put the "mated" male back with the other one..

I have a pair of ww drawf for adoption ard 2 mths old..

there's a pair 2 weeks old but too small for adoption.

My hamster i tink got practice birth control..only give bith 2 at a time.

were they together since birth? as in they r siblings?

 

how come your hammie so good one ar.. for mine.. their birth rates ranges from 5-7 each time...

My female hammies also fight all the time. I remember all these years, all my females are separated and males can stay together.

 

In Dec, hammy mummy gave birth to 2 males and 2 females. Males stayed with daddy and female stay with mummy. Just one day before CNY, female bunk had a great fight. Dont know who attack who, until one of them got a big patch of fur bitten out and bleeding... Body also got bite marks.

 

2 weeks later, another female hammy suffer the same fate, but not so serious... Just have some slight bite marks. Mummy is the big bully. Bit her 2 daughters. From then on, all females stay separately.

 

As for the males, they are still doing well staying together. Hope this will continue....

 

Oh ya... I adopted an abandoned female hammy at void deck. Also very aggressive. Even I gave her food, she also want to bite me

I think the hammie u adopt is already Given up hope on someone will care for her/him le.. tats y whoever comes close will kena biite.. normally this case.. this hammie very very hard to tame it dwn de..

Anyone has gd vet to recommend for hamster other than namly clinic dr ling? currently she is not seeing any new client hence left only dr chan where i heard negative feedback..

The abandoned hammy is sapphire I think... Same kind like your cinderella.

 

No way I can tame her. Even I put my hands into the cage, she want to bite me liao... So normally when I want to change her bedding, I will try bluff her to climb into a toilet roll, then quickly put the toilet roll into the bathing sand cage.

 

She very ke lian.. kena abandoned at void deck, with lots of seeds and 2 water bottles. But ex-owner so dumb, put so much seed that it attracted all the ants!

 

But I more ke lian. I brought this hammy home with all the food, water and bedding inside the cage and pillion on bike. All the bedding fly everywhere on the way home. When the bedding flew past my arms, its itchy and painful... Next time I take cab home.... save myself from all this misery!

There is one beside clementi sunset way. popular vet clinic.....if its for hamster, its uesless cause i tried before and the vet said it cant operate on such tiny pet. Not worth the time n money as teir span of life is short...... i though it was ridiculous but as time goes by, i came to terms with it.
