guys ned some advice... my bike have noking sound near the clutch area so i suspect its the clutch housing... i want 2 get it repair but wat is the cost to get it repair anybody know?

 

does it create u any plm OTR..? if not then just bear with it untill u its due for a major preventive servicing.

Been riding my gun-metal-grey beast for the past 7mth......until recently i experience overheating,my temperature shot to red bar,and coolant flowing at the pump area.after sent for repair,theres a few prob wth the bike.Already change my coolant pump and timing belt and all the rubber hose.....now my temperature is always pointing at the white indicator next t o the red indicator......is this normal for ST1100?.....theres no coolant leaks now,but for the past two days i notice my radiator and reservoir is empty despite toping it up.......Mechanic says that,my radiator cap need to be change as it is not tight enough and cause the coolant to flow out during riding.......Is this true?

 

like cbkooky said, do the few checks by a reliable mechanic.

 

from ur describtion, it seems very likely to be 1) faulty radiator cap, 2) cracked or leaked pressure coolant hose- check if any cracks on the nipple tube beneath the radiator cap, a tiny hair-line crack will do enough tremor for u. 3) jammed thermostat valve.

A friend always service his ST11 at Foo Soon Heng Motor Repair (GO PA). There are many ST11 customers service their bike there. You may try to check it out.

Anybody knows if my 94 model measures distance in km or miles? I've used up about half a tank and I've travelled only about 140 on my tripmetre. Can someone enlighten me? :p

 

And when vibration is slightly heavier during low gears, there's this ringing sound, is it normal?

 

I'm going in to pump on Fri aftnn around 2.30pm via 2nd link, anyone wana join me? :p

By this friday should be ready liao.

Need to bring the Touch and Go card. If don't have, you can purchase it at the toll booth at the last counter which is tended by a staff. Topping up also at there.

 

FYI,

 

20 ringgit for the card with 10 ringgit value.

 

Per entry 1.60 ringgit and exit is 1.60 ringgit also.

 

Also, this is for 2nd link usage only, no toll for causeway at woodlands.

 

Also need to have white card.

 

If dun have, can get from the customs office at Malaysia side.

Renewed my bike insurance - got additional 10% NCB plus 5% wooppeee!!!!

 

However, the amount I am paying this year is HIGHER than what I paid last year (BUT my bike's one year older).:dot:

 

What a day!

 

If anyone's got suggestions as to a better and cheaper insurer - I'm all ears...
