checked with unique . for steel braided HEL clutch hose abt $140. Brake hose i heard its lotsa $$ coz of CBS n ABS , many hoses .

Congrats. Mine is around 16.5km/l +/- (AV mode) .Normally I refuel btwn 400-430km. Black sticker you referring can try this ...nt sure he still selling them anymore.

Hmm at the moment i've done about 130++ km and the gauge says i have only half tank left? and my av is 14 only, i'm rather gentle with the throttle leh, but so far i didn't go on the highways for the past few days.

 

What can i do to improve consumption?

Has anyone's ST1300 installed with the smaller IU? Where is the best position ? Any pics ?

 

I am trying to change my old one as it is obviously in a very odd position on the left handbar, and uses a very raw designed mounting plate for the IU. trying to change to the smaller one and a more well design and compact stainless steel bracket. I have seem a Suzuki Burgman 650 that had the IU installed below the instrument panel in a compartment (hidden) and yet detectable by the ERP system. : )

 

 

Anyone has inputs and experience to share ?

Well i just came back from 2nd link, i pumped 23L, i kana cheat by my digital display hahaha tell me i only got 40+ km to go. hahaha. i calculated that i do about 15.4 km/l so i guess that's good enough yea?

mine is 17.1km/l for FC doing 100-110 on E-way which i consider is very good.

i was coming back from hatyai on 16 april ,on @ n-s highway i was on the extreme left lane,a red colour bike ,likely a TL1000 overtake me on my left side.he was wearing a faded red jacket,he just zoom past me .the incident was somewhere around pagoh.i hope you are in this forum & read this so that you d'ont become a statistic on the NS highway.

I have one that turned 7 this year that needs to be "renewed" and "revitalised" after being stock for over 7 years.

 

Have just done up the following over the last 2 months : $$$$

- MCL Bar Riser

- MCL Ram ball and powerlet

- MCL Fender Extender (Front)

- Tank Bra

- Clearview shield with adjustable vents

- MCL Tip over crash bar

- MCL passenger foot peg extender

- EBC Brake pads

- K&N Filters

 

Planning the do the following: more $$$$, hole in pocket very soon

- gear shift indicator

- PC 3 and bypass the oxygen sensors

- Add mirror, fairing side wind deflector

- Add knee pad

- Add Hondaline top box

- Change Ohlin or Hyperpro front springs and read shocks

- Add rubber studs and covers on sides of bike, as seen on 2010 model

- HID lights ?

- Bar end signal lights

- Staintune or 2Bros Exhaust

- Rider and passenger back rest

- change to slimmer ERP device and a slick looking stainless steel holder

- brakeaway cruise control or a more advance MC/Audiovox CC

- exhaust wrap of headers

 

 

Mods to venture into/ D-I-Y

- Manual switches for radiator fan

 

 

Share your experience and thoughts over having the above installed. If you have any recommendations, and other add ons, do add to this thread. If you have done your own mods, can also share : p

ahh! bro's need some help, today on the highway, my front left signal flew off! i heard it but i didn't see it happen, now my left mirror is lying there naked! no clue why it happened leh, i didn't hit it, nor did i drop the bike before. Maybe someone squeezed beside me when i parked and bumped into my bike.

 

Think i'll call Boon Siew if they have it, anyone here know the price? or if i will need to order a pair?

Updated: Well i just called, it'll cost me 135 W/o labour and they have no stock! it'll take 5 weeks! oh man! any other alternatives? maybe cheaper and faster? sheesh!

 

Fjtee are selling for 145, but without installation. And they say the plastic is separate from the signal. so 145 is the combined price.
