Well..as for the dent on the exhaust, definitely they have to change another exhaust over for u and doesn't require tuning..

 

The rest of the parts, u need to neg with them liao..the uncle there super hard to neg one..everything also tell u new or changed liao..better still, ask them change engine oil first and must full-synthetic...that time he so stingy, only change semi for me..

there r many reason for having white smoke....., such as wear out rings, valve seal leak..... and etc........!

 

all those repair cost will mount up to as expensive as ur bike.... not worth it....

 

and btw don expect bike shop will fully repair the bike, even they promise to do it.........! questions.......how capable r they to fix it to original or effective state!

 

i am sure a few guys here had exprience this kind of issue before...!

i personally had seen alot.....!

 

as for the detail i go further if got chances we site for coffee....heee....

 

don tok about tat noise stuff.. just the white smoke issue.. will give u enough reason not to buy tat bike...

 

another issue is to watch out for collant system....., it could be in good state or it may just crack anytime......, coolant sysytem must check, if possible ask them to change piping...! FM plate all the rubber pipe must have gone dry and cracking...!

this is not flaw, this is part of it wear and tear....!

 

another issue fairing....! some fairing may look impresseive outside, on another side it had crack bracket and even don even have proper srew to tighten it.....!

 

don bother to ask them to change parts from another st11 to urs...! chances of them not able to fix back or damage it, is higher then them fixing it right...!

 

i am not demoralise anyone or saying mech cannot make it....! i just share it as i had seen alot of cases..... with my own eyes... !

 

there is still alot of well miantain ST11 around......, fish around... sure can find a better one....!

mi did not even change anything from them

scare their workmanship

start away give to gopa n do full service n found out.... the perious owner never take care of the bike.... all the coolant pipe all got dirty...... n the gasket also.... total cost 4 the full service is 1.2k

Cant do anythingy about it cos it was still on the truck...

can only check appearance...

1. dented exhaust... try see if they would exchange it for u or not

but still must check the other bike exhaust whether ok or not

we have a case of a ST sounding like a semi-Harley

2. If brake Pad is still quite new and the Disc Plate is not damaged(cutted or dented)then still ok... Changing Brake Pad also quite costly (x 3sets)

3. Starter --- hmmm when pressed Elect. start check the response

4. Do not know your timing.... but there are a GP makan session tonight...

can also meet up with them

5. That PhotoShot was taken in Aug2004... and we are not a GANG...

heehee just a small family of riders that happens to own the same bike

another question to post regarding my st11 ... yesterday i go pump pertol hor when i open my cap to my petrol there was a suction sound .. "pissssss" when i open ..

 

is it my fuel cable gana compress under my oil tank .. ???

 

another thing wats the fuel cap. of st11 .. ??? yesterday i took vehicle then the bike shop tell me go pump petrol ... them i pump about S$10 for abt 7 liter .. and went jb pump another 11 liter full liao .. !!! how come so little ????

hi Glenn,

 

the hissling sound is perfectly ok, it's to retain the proper fuel pressure to reduce stress for the fuel pump i suppose..

 

fuel capacity is 28ltrs, at mid point it is approximately 15ltrs used meaning left only 13 ltrs, when reserved light on it's balance is around 5- 5.5ltrs left.

 

not many shops know all the capacity of each models' tank, so inorder not to tow u back they will tell u to top it up once u left their workshop, it's a norm.

hi im a newbie here..intending to change to st11 ... recently i go ubi and saw one of the st11 (fn plate) selling for 7k (coe renewed).... and went to another shop and saw another St11 (fp plate) selling for 10.5k(left 2yr coe) ..only 1 yr ...y the great diff in the price ..... i need yr advice .... looking for fn plate - fq plate ....roughly around wht price..

 

And wht do i look out for to c the bike is in gd condition...

hi Upz for you searching for ST 11 ...

 

i just bought my st 11 at 7.2k FM plate machine .. and saw FS plate 12k from shop ..

 

Thats wat i can input for you onli ... if u interested in FM renew st 11 there is one sellng at my motor shop u can go take a look ...

it can be purchased at any car accessories shop.

 

looks smart & fierce, the down side is it will require more energy if the wattage is too high out of stock reccomendation, it will deteriorates the charging system without any time warning.

very easy.

 

when u r in the accessory shop, ask for the cheaper range, they r those not many ppl adore due to 'lower wattage aka not so bright'.

 

physically check it to ensure it's within the our range's wattage.

 

if u r replacing it urself for the 1st time, i suggest u have someone that knows how to push back the retaining clip else u gona ride without headlights untill u have it nice fit on. need any assistance for this just let us know.
