btw remember to also lub the speedo gear at the wheels, to maintain the gear life span...! actually it is just a plastic gear....

my bik egot 1 prob.sat going dwn 2 do.the netural sensor abit sot.sometime the netural will on sometimes wnt.when the netural lights not on i start bike must clutch in.majiam riding suzuki bike like tat.just now at traffic lights i look so kuku sia.my bike at netural but the lights not on.i thought i at 1st gear.then traffic lights turn green i open trottle but bike cannot move.all the car beside me far far away liao.but those behind me still waiting.haha.then faster change 2 1st gear n move off.so many people look at me somemore.paisei sia.

erm.can i check wif u guys?is there any solution 2 clean up my windscreen?cos my 1 have abit of stain.i try use wax but the stain wnt come off.any other product 2 intro me?

Use Autosol, the metal polish.

Wat could cause the clutch to lose its tension?

Sometimes when i start my bike in the morning, the clutch lever like no tension..but after pumping for abt 2-3 times, then the tension comes back...issit due to the shortage of oil?

 

 

by the way where do u guys install those loud horns?

if there no fluid u will notice it at the clutch master pump resivor window.

hsp_89, have a look at your slave pump, u can see it at the front of the belly pan.... if there a leak (a dark patch under the slave pump) this mean u need to service your slave pump or replace. if there no leak it might be your clutch master have problem.... nothing to worry, just buy a clutch master pump repair and change it, it will back to normal again.

Hi guys, I'm currently riding a super 4 vtec, taking my cl 2 this coming may expecting to attain that ultimate class in July. However I am really looking into a cl 2 bike now.

 

Maybe you guys can give me more recommendation based on some info below.

 

Age : 27

Riding Experience : 2 years

Bikes Owned History : Phantom TA200, Super 4 Vtec

Riding Preference : Comfy, lots of storage space, 160km/h - 200km/h touring speed, good fuel consumption, low maintenance.

Bikes I'm looking at now : CBR1100XX, CBR 600F4i, K2-K4 600, R6, R1, ST1100.

 

Advice needed:

Maintenance cost for ST11. Touring comfort, fuel mileage.

What is the difference between the normal ST11 and the pan european? I like to get a FT plate ST.. how much am I looking at for current market rate.

hmm..well..I'm considered 24 years old too with of course a 2-years experience...the insurance is abt $1050...2nd party from NTUC

Storage space?? = ST (original side pannier/box...can add top box and still look good) anyway... all also can add box...sides, back, front anywhere u want)

160km/h-200km/hr??? = all of your choice

consumption ??? = ST on NSHW at 160-200km/hr about 17km per litre

low maintain??? = Depend on how u put it

 

Bikes I'm looking at now : CBR1100XX, CBR 600F4i, K2-K4 600, R6, R1, ST1100.

All are good bike... i personnal like the sitting posture of ST

 

Advice needed:

Maintenance cost for ST11. Touring comfort, fuel mileage.

DIY and its much cheaper for maintainance

Touring comfort = very comfy

Fuel Consumption is >24km per litre if maintain 120-140km/hr

Not much different except for some parts + newer and older lor

1) Maintenance cost for ST11.

Well as for me, i personally feel that maintenance is not as high compared to sports bike. But one possible maintenance is to change wear and tear parts due to clocking of high mileage. Most impt is no modification needs to be done to ST compared to sports like sliders, steel braided hoses, hugger, undertray, etc....

ST stock is good enough for all you wanna do with it

 

2) Touring comfort

This is definitely the ultimate bike to get for touring..a Sports or Sports tourer can never make u feel like a touring bike. I was riding a sports before I change to ST, the difference is tremendous. The 2 stock panniers is good enough for your touring trips and the speed u need is definitely up to ur expectation and it's stable even at 200km/hr

3) Fuel mileage

I dunno how to say in distance travelled per litres

For mine is full tank 40 ringgit for abt 400km then into reserve which can last abt 80km more...so 40 ringgit for abt 480km...sports will be higher fuel consumption.

 

4) What is the difference between the normal ST11 and the pan european?

This one is I think is like difference in the model. ST11 shld be the newer one if I'm not wrong

 

5) I like to get a FT plate ST.. how much am I looking at for current market rate.

Mine is a FT plate and I got it at 12k from my bike shop. That shld be the market rate..
