i already haf a insert d wire in d tube... 3secs per drop still too fast, erm, how fast is ur flow rate, can advice plzzz....

 

thanks tony for sharing. Controlling the flowrate seems to be a challenge.

 

new licensee . can you imagine travelling for an hour. thats alot of drops!

 

hi,

any pics on the wire in your tubing?

might be your wire is too thin for the tube

you have a flow control valve?

for my i am using a 4mm diameter tubing with wire inside which the flow rate is just nice

think if you willing to pay just go for the ezy oiler...

good price for the quality of work...

if you staying nearby me around tampines then i can buy from you? haha. cos i actually went to the neighborhood hardware shops and showed the picture but they say never carry..

 

now my oiler is not working, i suspect got leak at one of the valves..

saw a yamaha R15 yellow colour with rear box using my version of scott-oily....rider is using a AGV helmet FF.

IMO ur oiler need to be at least 35 sec per drop else it's going to be messy on ur back of ur shirt & tail boom of ur bike.

I did 2 videos of my DIY, see below. Hopefully this will be useful to others.

 

Many thanks to @tonychan for starting this thread and doing an awesome step by step tutorial that inspired others. :thumb:

And also to @alvinyansg who made me want to to do one by myself, sharing his photos and experience with much details as well.

 

 

I made two videos of my DIY chain Oiler, in case anyone is interested :

In action: (Oil flow is fast to illustrate where it drips, obviously for real use you need to close the valve a bit)
