by right, the rack or box should not touch the tailboard in any way. if they r touching, mayb it is wrongly fixed? have not seen H&B rack on a fazer so i cannot comment. for givi rear rack, it is not touching.

bro, i think the rack can be adjust slightly... try that out?

if can, then u can add in a thick rubber layer in between ur rack & ur tail board?

 

 

it seems all well fitted eh....cos the joint at the footrest, it has a triangular brkt that fix nicely and slotted into the back of the foot rest which is triangular shape that means that bracket cant be rotated.

 

damn maybe should bring to sengkwang and see what he can do...before that would like to ask if any fellow riders also encounter the same issue as me

yeah intially i tot its all wrongly fixed, so i took out the racks (except for the brackets) and try fix again see if can adjust...but seems like not possible eh...

Do you guys encounter a "ZZZZZ ZZZZZZ" sound from the front of your bike, not sure is it the meter side while traveling at about 1500 rpm ~ 2500rpm ?

majiam sounds like electricity leaking or something or electricity jumping spark or something >.

Initially emailed to HB itself with the photos i taken of the rack hitting the tailboard.....send it to HB ....no respond....

 

...went to mtechnik....his 2 mechanics help me with the issue.......45 mins to an hour......or more......cant fixed it....took out new sets of rack ....same thing.....hitting against tail board.........they were saying yamaha welding dimensions of the bracket holding the rear footrest to the bike frame maybe out -.- ..........so i believe its the HB design fault itself that is not catered for 09 model of fz1 ? we cant tell if with the naked eye if there is any manufatcturing dimensions between the early 2nd gen and late 2nd gen fz1s.........

 

 

gave up......went to seng kwang......custom modified the existing HB bracket...added bushes......shifted the whole rack down with one finger spacing....

lucky me not into boxes, but i have done enough custom made GPS mounts and whatever for my bikes that when i go seng kwang, they see a big carrot walking in..
