Waiting for the NEW 2010 FZ1S ABS from hongleong.... still waiting waiting....

Duno how much it cost if i want to change Hell Brake Hose for ABS model FZ1.

Anybody knows?

Am interested to change to steel braided brake hose for my too, but was advised not to coz mine is with ABS. Afraid that the mechanics are not familiar with the setting.

Now , is that a myth or a fact? Still wanna change the hoses. Any reco type, w/shop and price wise.

ABS is good enuff already, why would you want to change?

It's going to cost a few fold higher than the price of non-abs brake system for 3 hoses.

You can try getting a quote from Unique. They have promotion for Hel brake hoses.

Is your slip-on a LV GP Pro?

Have you remove your baffle before?

I am refering to the db killer. have you remove it before? If yes is it much louder?

How much do you pay for your end can to be installed?

Oh that baffle. Tempted but not removed yet. Exisitng is loud enough for me. Got it from SGD909 from Uniquemotor.

u only really need to change when ur stock hoses are old. (abt 2yrs I think?)

Reasons

ABS uses a lot more of everything so more ex

very time consuming

not many mechs familiar with it

some mechs jus not confident to do it

if ur brake system integrated dat makes it harder to do

BUt it's ur $$ so up to you. Shops popular with the full tourers can usually do.

Ya Bro,

was quoted 500++ for the hoses..... might as well spend it on performance

important stuff are :

spare clutch cable,

rectifier,

spark plugs,

clutch lever, if got space bring a brake lever too but clutch is more important

duct tape or black tape,

cable tie,

size 8 to 12 spanners, good to have those with 1 side open end and the other close end

screwdriver that can switch between - and +

allen keys

pliers, those that can lock

a few spare nuts, bolts, screws and washers of different sizes
