OFFICIAL INVITATION TO ALL BIKERS

RIDE FOR PEACE

It is with great pleasure that the Royal Thai Consulate at Langkawi takes this opportunity to invite your good self and members of your organization to two significant events to be held in the coming months.

These events are the “Hatyai Bike Week” (to be held at Hatyai, Thailand on the 6th – 8th July, 2007) and the “Langkawi International Bike Week” (to be held at Langkawi, Malaysia on the 7th – 9th September, 2007), wherein it is our desire and endeavor to obtain as many bikers as possible to participate in both of these events.

The Royal Thai Consulate at Langkawi is cooperating with the organizers of these two events, the “Hatyai Bikers Club” and the “Langkawi Pirate Riders” by assisting to organize these events as twin reciprocal programs, under the concept of “Two Countries One Destination”, each commencing at the “ Dannok - Bukit Kayu Hitam” Thai-Malaysian Border Post, with an international “RIDE FOR PEACE”, to enable the participating bikers to actively show their unity, solidarity, desire and support for regional peace and cooperation.

The “Hatyai Bike Week” will commence on the 6th July 2007, with the congregating of the various participants at the “ Dannok - Bukit Kayu Hitam” (Thai-Malaysian Border Post) at 12:00 Noon followed by a “RIDE FOR PEACE” convoy to the Hatyai Municipality Park.

The “Langkawi International Bike Week” will commence on the 7th September 2007, with the congregating of the various participants at the “ Dannok - Bukit Kayu Hitam” (Thai-Malaysian Border Post) at 12:00 Noon followed by a “RIDE FOR PEACE” convoy to the Kuala Kedah - Langkawi Ferry Terminal. This event will also be co-organized by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.

Both “Bike Weeks” will include visits to places of interest as well as a variety of activities to promote good relations between the participants and to also provide entertainment, including cultural shows, motorbike contests, live bands, food, and sales of motorbike products, accessories and clothing.

With respect thereto, we call on all Harley Davidson Bikers, Super Bikers, Chopper Bikers, Touring Bikers, Veteran and Vintage Bike and Scooter Owners from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and other countries to participate in these two International events and to do their part to show the world their support and desire for Regional Peace, Goodwill and Cooperation.

The Royal Thai Consulate-Langkawi will assist all Bikers by arranging with the Immigration and Customs Departments of Thailand and Malaysia for a special “Green Lane” clearance for Bikers entry into and out of both Thailand and Malaysia and will also make all necessary arrangements with the Government of Thailand to ensure the safety and security of all Bikers participating in the said events, while in Thailand.

You have travelled to places others have not ventured....You read books that others have never heard of....You see humour in unusual places. And you've always gone your own way. Why, then, should you ride a bike that's like all the rest?

A group for TDM owners to get together to organise and exchange trip adventures, share their know-hows and show-off their accessories.

New batch of bridgestones tyres has arrived in Singapore. TDM front tyre size of 120/60/18 is now available for BT020/021.

If you are in need of a tyre change, place your orders with your regular maintenance shop and get them to collect a set for you from Bridgestone distributors.

If you miss out this round, it might be another 3-4 months wait.
