bro james, i did a chain conversion on my vtr to 520.

For Vtwin engine low end high troque, the chain still stay in a piece (aft even putting it in track use).......

Guess is safe ya.

The weight tat the conversion save is quite a fair bit. Bike .indeed feel much lighter

Hmm...thks for the feedback.I think I will go for that too...save abit of weight, maybe can still tail you when on NSHW...

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

I didnt know that TDM using 525.Most sportbikes use 520 conversion to lighten the bike, cause all superbikes and GP bikes using this method.

As you know, every sec counts for them.

well dude...this proves that we're not in the same leaque afterall...i m not so keen to make my bike any lighter by using smaller chain size....speed is not really my main concern for buying the TDM...if so,i would by an R1 rite?

but hey,on the other hand,i m more of an off-rd guy...thats the reason why i m hunting for enduro front tyre....i am attacking the dirt with the TDM rite after Hari Raya...

P.s.dun bother telling me that you scrapped your pegs while doing corners too...not keen yah...:cheeky:

Do inform me if theres any news of the offroad tires...and of course i'm in with ur 19" front rim project. Cheers dude! Dirt on!

i went to chong aik 2days ago and i've spotted avon enduro tyres...well,its actually meant for the rear of a dirtbike i supposed...18inch spot on...best...its tubeless...anyways,most TDM riders from carpe have used rear tyres of a dirtbike for the front wheel of a TDM and put it on the opposite side...but some of the tyres is sirac which is not tubeless....profile 120/80.this is good news i hope...

as i have just discovered that avon is tubeless...i mite wanna have a go...haven't check on the price though...but well,at least theres a solution.

will buy this tyre next month...after hari raya...then not only will it get fix,but i will do a test ride and let you guys know the outcome..

anyway,i've got 2months old front tyre bridgestone bt020...i thk...alot of life left...i think usage about 4k kms....brand new $135...i selling $70....

the 19inch wheel project shud be happening in Dec...when you know...bonus...ive check with K.S....the V-strom front wheel is $475...but not sure if it includes bushing and bearings...and i have yet to test putting Al-simmon front wheel on my TDM yet...another thing to worry is the front disc...i hope its all align....i am willing to spend at least $600-$700 max...if somehow after doing more research and found out it requires more money, then project on hold till i finish the instalment of my TDM which is bout 1yr to go...:cheeky:

so fingers crossed!

Ya,man.Speed is definitely out for TDM as top is only 220km/h.But the comfort level is high.

R1 is one of the best speed demon I ever own.:thumb:

Good luck in your hunt for 19inch wheel.I had found my 17inch wheel and will be my next change when my present tire wear out.
