btw takehow...i woke up early in the morning 440am and can't get back to sleep...something has come to mind...i was 1st thinking about the bandit mods on the underseat exhaust,i am striking a deal on H&B stuff last nite..so that comes to mind too..then was thinking bout the 19inch front wheel for my TDM...then was thinking of modding the front header of my XR to go underneath the frame and ups to the rider footpegs and slip on my Yoshi tri-oval since i am removing it from my TDM to use back stock..

Then...your KLE dah...

i got so many ideas for it...please...i am surfing for a kewl looking KLE from web at the moment...and also was looking your KLE from Bikepics...:dozed:

i will be doing the insurance for my Bandit in 2weeks time...i'll add your name and please do your KLE insurance and add mine...and i hope your bike is in running condition and engine is not in a timebomb..:cheeky:

let me know the details tomoro...cheers..

is that Ansley... look so happy ... must be having a great time...

anyway just to give u guys a feedback on the fuel saving chip....after installed it and tried setting it to the modules's 70% and the bike really feels more torque at least to me...but petrol consumption seems much higher...so i down it to 45% setting...power seems to drop slightly but consumption not too bad...still without the chip...the bike runs more fuel economically..however the power defers...all these been tried with leo vince street legels...so u guys just judge for yourselves if u need this toy....all the above results might not be the same

Aiyoh, Ansley not drunk lah.. Only had a glass or so of whisky.. =0)

I have not installed my chip yet.. Went to the workshop alittle too late so didn't have time but my screen is up.. Workmanship fail man; eagle screen not so fantastic.. =0(

BTW, what is a good semi-knobby tire for my rear and where is a good place to buy? Tire is now slick from my trip..

Posted

i believe you are complaining the screen becoz of the screw holes area rite?

if so,you are not alone...but once you screwed them on...it will just be that way for the rest of 1 yr or 2 if you still riding the bike...you'll get use to it and will soon love it...trust me...the 1st week i had the screen on...i thought of changing back to my givi...but then,i got the hang of it...

about tyre...for me and Takehow,we love the Metz Tourance...can get at Powerwheel for $200...rear...i think for Nukey...he love the Michelin Anakee...

and for front...i just locate 18inch rear enduro tyre dat will be able to use it on our front...best,its tubeless...Avon Distanzia...price is $120 without installation...

If someone wants to buy my Bridgestone battlax front,i sell you half price...tyre is still good...about 7000km used...:thumb:

anyways...

some of the guys are planning on a nite till morning ride this February...so the date is actually set...but it would be either 9/10 or 16/17..

The plan is to meetup at around 12midnite or 1am...

we will ride to Air Hitam...and ride the twisty road of Jamaluang or Kahang till Mersing...it will be a cruising ride...with stops for breaks and coffee...the ride is to feel the night kewl breeze and also the beauty of the darkness followed by our motorbikes headlites...this would be a good chance for you to test out your fog lite and all those ahbengs led's lighting...:cheeky: and also its time to get those riding jackets clean from being left to dust...we will be riding back from Mersing thru Kota Tinggi...it should be a breaking dawn ride...

So those who have night blindness and sleep riding at nite must be advice 1st...the whole journey would sum up about 400kms only...no excuses.:sian:

trying to search but cannot find any...

thought the GT forum will be kinda helpful...but the last activity there was like 3 days ago...

now i realise how much time sg riders have on this forum...

that also explain the incresing number of "foreign talent" here...right in this forum... :cheeky:

anyway based on my experience...

i have pin down to 3 mistakes...

- riding too fast

- didn't expect traffic movement to suddenly change especially during U-turns even in highway

- didn't ride in a group (if we were riding in convoy, i guess the other traffic users will be more aware of our presence)

Option number 3 you can take it out ... the deceased rode solo.:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

was mentioning bout our ride...

for those riding solo...i guess you just need to be extra careful and not to chase for time...

slow down at every U-turn junctions...

be wary of vehicles to your left, they might filter or turn right anytime without signals...

Agree :thumb:

but anyway riding slow doesn't always mean you're safe too ... Riding slow in a convoy might get you a middle finger.

And changes in road condition boils down to your experience, judgement and sometimes luck ... even experience riders do get knocked down. 30 years experience won't spare you any mishaps either. Complacency is a NO NO.

riding in a convoy is good but if a super sport rider following the speed of a much slower bike, it'll tire him easily.

Sometimes, in an unwanted situation, I always hope that I'm a minute earlier so that it's a different situation but then again in that minute earlier, I might get myself into another unwanted situation.

Being safe on the road can be a challenge.
